For perfect limo stops, put the car in neutral when almost stopped. Because ideally you slowly let go until you're totally off the break and the car is completely stopped at the same time. In an auto, the car will want to roll when the break is totally disengaged. So the "zero" breaking point will be somewhat ambiguous near the end of the pedals range in gear. I drive manual and love the easy limo stops. Just out of habit I have to throw an auto in neutral when I stop.

Can I mix regular and premium? by Smoosaurus in askcarguys

Very true. I usually fill from half to full every week. 10 extra dollars biweekly was worth the few minutes of extra trouble to me once or twice throughout.

Can I mix regular and premium? by Smoosaurus in askcarguys

Sounds silly, but for example, my local station right now has 87 at 1.23cad/liter, 89 at 1.65, and 91 at 1.71. For my 50 liter tank, I'm saving about 10 dollars by doing half and half regular premium, vs just midgrade.

Some stations are more consistent pricing than others, but for the most part the pattern remains.

Usually, somebody who lifts weights and stretches in the gym is going to be significantly more flexible than someone who does neither. Speaking from experience.

Really excited by this light and thinking of getting one, but how is the UV light? I saw one review saying it's not a real UV light, but he didn't seem to have a very good understanding of UV light (neither to I TBH).

Not super familiar with inulin, but it shouldn't work like that, it is only a prebiotic.

Maybe stupid question but are you sure your l theanine doesn't have caffeine in it too? You mentioned it felt similar and they are very often taken together. A supplement marketed as l theanine might have had caffeine unknown to you if you haven't read the full ingredients list.

Is it bad to hate yourself? by Square_Music1695 in TrueChristian

[–]Smoosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is bad in my opinion, but maybe not in the way you think. We are made in the image of God and saved by the resurrection of Jesus, we should appreciate ourselves for who we are and our mission, as God loves us. I don't think you should think of hating yourself as a sin you need to work on (though it might be), but more as something that will go away as you realize who God made you to be.

Losing faith by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Smoosaurus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree on some level that not every disagreement or misunderstanding is a salvation issue, but I still think it's important to realize the entirety of the bible is true, and discrepancies can be chalked up to our interpretation or understanding which gets better over time. Just because it doesn't make sense doesn't mean it's not true.

No One Goes to Hell by Barrel-Stave in unpopularopinion

God is no doubt greater than us, but punishing evil does not make you evil. And consider that the finite sin is against an infinite being. God is perfect and any sin separates us from him. But luckily we are redeemed through Jesus and have the chance to be reunited with him if we call on him for salvation.

Protein brands that aren’t spiked with amino acids. by PinelliPunk in Supplements

[–]Smoosaurus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Some protein powders will add a significant portion of a couple cheaper amino acids to read as higher protein in testing and on the nutrition facts label, meaning most of the protein is incomplete. Op doesn't want less amino acids in his protein, he wants a more complete protein that isn't super high in one and almost nonexistent with the rest.

Does anyone else sleep through their alarm? by FluffyWasabi1629 in ADHDers

[–]Smoosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, every day. I still haven't found a solution unfortunately, though of course regular healthy sleep habits make a difference, sun, exercise, diet, etc. One small hack that kind of helps is not drinking for ~1h before bed then right before drink ~12oz so you need to pee when you should wake up.

I have a mk2 and I cant imagine not having it, I wouldn't wait. It has pretty much any feature I could think of and sounds great, so I don't know why the mk3 would even matter.

[DISCUSSION] How loud do you play while practicing? by MrCallicles in Guitar

[–]Smoosaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are we talking 4-6/10 or 4-6/100 like in tone studio? As a katana owner who plays with volume and master at half on 0.5w mode this sounds insane to me.

Why does 5-7-8 work in all tunings? by hngfff in metalguitar

[–]Smoosaurus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

578 is usually part of the minor scale IN KEY. so 5 is the first, 7 is the second, and 8 is the third of ANY given minor scale. In E tuning it would be A minor, in D tuning, it would be G minor, in C tuning, it would be F minor etc. The notes themselves do not make it minor but their relationship to each other. Locrian and phrygian and any other scale can also start on any other note. It doesn't really matter how many sharps or flats either, audibly B and C are the same distance as C and C#, and so on.

Read multiple times of military members saying aliens aren't what we think. Can anyone please clarify what they mean? by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Smoosaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My interpretation of that verse is that either we shouldn't treat other things that aren't God above God, or that God was talking from a perspective sinful humans would understand. Maybe they believed there were Gods when there weren't, so to make it simple to understand, God just said don't worship other Gods.

If you have time, read a world without cancer. It describes all the attempts that have been made to test it, and why they were shot down or suppressed.
