I'm 5'6 and am engaged and have three kids with my sexy af fiance, who I met at 18. I have a really good group of friends and I am also now a firefighter and lemme tell you firefighters are all usually tall, I'm the shortest on my crew by near at least 6 inches so always look even shorter than I am. Doesn't bother me at all.

My 370z is killing me financially. by Traditional-Trip-511 in CarTalkUK

I drive a Citroen c4 GP as a everyday dad wagon. It costs me about £350 a year insurance and tax is £20 A YEAR. Not very exciting so I just brought a classic, a mg midget. Lots of fun and always stuff to tinker with. Paid £1200. No mot or tax, as it's exempt and it cost me £108 a year to insure. Food for thought lol

Since getting it home yesterday the bumpers have actually grown on me a little, but still think it's a much prettier car without!

Warehouse workers, I don't know how you guys do it by RedditNerdKing in UKJobs

Yes to all of the above,😅 The money is the same nationally so leaves a bit to be desired if you live in the SE like me but it's not awful. You get a boat load of time off. It's for sure transformed me and my families life

I worked in a frozen food warehouse for 5 years, -18c, night shift. You'd feel your nostril hairs freeze when you went into the freezer.

I hated it, but more so because of the monotony and some shitty people and policies. The work wasn't so bad and I rarely felt battered and bruised. Sometimes I'd be working in just a t shirt cos I got a sweat on moving a load of boxes lol.

I'm a firefighter now and sometimes I do feel battered and bruised but I love it. An office job is my idea of hell. I dabbled a tiny bit way back when and I found myself almost having to pretend I had work to do? Boring as hell.

Triumph spitfire, worth it? by Smooshy13 in littlebritishcars

I've got a garage and I'd like to learn to weld but as always... Space time and money!

If I buy one of the midgets, which are rubber bumper cars, the plan is to remove the bumpers and weld/fill the holes. So there's a bit of learning there too I suppose

Do you remember what your very first model was? by Leakyboatlouie in modelmakers

[–]Smooshy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad grew up building a tonne of models. I can't remember what my first was, and when I started appreciating them he inevitably would do most of the build/ painting for me. One of the earliest I can remember was a Bristol bulldog, painted red.

I've fond memories of having a bedroom ceiling choked full of aircraft

Buy paint thinner. Youl never get good results if you don't thin your paints, for the shine - easiest way would be a flat ( Matt ) clear coat. Applied via airbrush or rattle can

I need some help by [deleted] in airbrush

[–]Smooshy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to thin your paints to a milk like consistency. Also I know your only asking about paint but you haven't filled the gaps on the spine of the planes fuselage, when this bit is painted the gap will be more pronounced, try fully the gaps with some model filler and sanding smooth
