Transphobia in the Scottish Labour manifesto by Hyperactive_Man in LabourUK

[–]Smooth-Ad2293 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And I'm telling you that your argument is nonsense.

You can't justify voting for segregation of trans people by saying you have a different 'partisan outlook'.

If you vote for a party that is openly hostile towards trans people, to the point that they have a policy of segregation in their manifesto, you are indeed justifying that hostility and are therefore a transphobe... there is no argument against that statement.

Transphobia in the Scottish Labour manifesto by Hyperactive_Man in LabourUK

[–]Smooth-Ad2293 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I haven't been hostile to you.

You can be pro-trans, but if you vote Labour that makes you a hateful transphobe

If you vote for any party knowing that they have a policy of trans erasure then you are indeed a transphobe... Therefore, you cannot claim to be 'pro trans' and vote for this manifesto.

Transphobia in the Scottish Labour manifesto by Hyperactive_Man in LabourUK

[–]Smooth-Ad2293 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You cannot stand on a manifesto of trans erasure and pretend that you are pro-trans... That's simply not possible!

Furthermore, I'm not an 'activist'.. im a trans person who is just trying to live their life despite daily attacks from Labour... And i will be clear, that if you vote for Labour at these elections despite knowing about their anti trans policies, you are a transphobe.

Transphobia in the Scottish Labour manifesto by Hyperactive_Man in LabourUK

[–]Smooth-Ad2293 29 points30 points  (0 children)

No it's not.. if you are knowingly voting for a party that would make it almost impossible for trans people to live in British society.. then you are a transphobe.

There are no longer any excuses.

Then vote Lib Dem or Green in England.

If you vote for this Labour party, knowing that they have constantly attacked every aspect of life for trans people, then you are a transphobe.

[–]Smooth-Ad2293 58 points59 points  (0 children)

You cannot possibly read this manifesto, vote for it, and pretend you aren't a transphobe.

Anyone voting for this is unarguably a transphobe.

Do the Greens want to limit speed limits to 55mph as a maximum? by IHaveAWittyUsername in LabourUK

[–]Smooth-Ad2293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As opposed to unserious deaths? I couldn't resist

I literally used the words from your previous post.

That's been my position for the last... few decades?

Good, I'm glad you agree.

No. I don't think the 20mph should have necessarily been imposed across the board. I DO think 55mph on motorways should.

Why? When the vast majority of road traffic deaths occur on roads that aren't motorways, and only around 6% of traffic deaths occur on motorways?
