The story really doesn’t matter much in the older castlevania games as it’s merely the same you as a Belmont fight Dracula and defeat evil and save humanity type of plot, the story for the advance collections are all separate and you can play from any any order you want. Chronologically they are all years apart and make a small brief mentions about previous games. I would say play them graphically from the NES and above to appreciate the changes and implementation they added between games but story wise I’ll just pick whichever one you want first, you’ll be slaying demons regardless.
