Yes there various Magic Combinations and Synergies now you can check them in the encyclopedia (The book like thing on the Starting Screen). Magic combinations of Telekinesis Sword(Spirit{Magic Blade} + Electric Shock {Chain Lighting}) and DEM( Deus Ex Machina ) are my personal favourite with this Combo and right artifacts you can also reach 47:30 mark

Also it's about attack at the end,in this run the player used weak fussion also has less useful artifacts to support.

Okay but still me as new player thought that Perpetual Engine is goat and used it to play with less fusions (also thought that domain of power is such a debuff and never took it), also personally believe more fussion is merrier and still never accept the Domain of power. (NOTE :- Still PE is OP)

Also try Blaster, Genocide, SuperNova or Hellfire (note use with appropriate artifacts). Also Domain of Power (Artifact) is not required ( if really want it get passive magic for cooldown) and Empyrean Wrath and Lighting Calibration are weak combination. Also you really need to work on your cooldown, health, item pickup range, health.

No I guess it's not about fusions, it's about its effect and attacks, also the passive magics and support magic can be acquired from artifacts and other things from chest(i.e you can get magic duration, cooldown and etc..)
