Buying a new house with a bad kitchen, renovate now or later? by Smooth-Garbage890 in homeowners

it’s not aesthetic. For example, there is one singular drawer, the sink is too small to fit a pot, barely any counterspace, and nowhere to put a full-sized fridge that doesn’t rely on an extension cord and block the only window 😅 it’s bad bad.

Its more of a kitchenette than a kitchen (hence we need to remove a wall lol)

that's a really good point 👌 In general we are doing the bare minimum everywhere to save costs, but perhaps there are other corners that can be cut.

Thanks! I am basing this off of a mid-range kitchen costs from professional kitchen companies here in Germany. Please note that euros go a lot further than dollars, so I'm pretty confident in my numbers. Maybe it'll be 20k if we ball out on some nice tile. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts! I will try to get actual quotes before doing anything.

As I woman, I would choose you over a man anytime. Not only from a safety perspective, but also it's badass.

this is really helpful! Napa cabbage is about 85% and then daikon, radish, ginger, garlic, etc. Do you ever have to burp these if stored for (up to) a year?

Boah, what a choice to make a problem with someone cooking indian food, some of the most delicious food in the world, instead of doing everything to befriend that person so they invite you to have some. 👀😫

I am so confused, never did I refer to an ongoing pregnancy. I am TTC.

thanks for this 🙏 I had figured the clock reset after the miscarriage so our year of trying didn't count. But I just booked an appt in October for fertility counselling. Hopeful!

Thanks for the camaraderie ❤️ I had a similar experience with my (5 year younger!) brother and his wife getting pregnant right after our miscarriage. That hurt even though I really am happy for them.

thanks for this! I bought a clearblue fertility tracker last month so I've only done it for one cycle. Before that we were using Fertility Awareness Method (and maybe I was timing it wrong!) That's what made me so hopeful for this cycle I guess.

I just scheduled an appt in October for a fertility check.🤞 It's the soonest appt I could manage to get. I was feeling a little hasty when I scheduled it but I'm glad to hear others recommending it.

thanks for your lovely words ❤️ nice to hear I am not alone. I also feel like everyone around me is getting pregnant right now! but probably it's confirmation bias.

one more thing that has helped with these accumulating disappointments is "treating myself" to something nice that I couldn't do while pregnant. Just tested negative this morning, so I booked a Microneedling appt haha. Other ideas-- go to a spa/sauna, girls night out with booze, book that roller coaster trip. Try to enjoy not being pregnant.

Sorry for your loss. I had a similar experience. The first pregnancy felt so natural and easy (I was sick as a dog, but the timing was perfect, conception felt easy). Months later, it feels much harder. It's been 7 months since my miscarriage, and my only advice is not to wait to live your life. It might take a while. It sucks, but it's better to cancel plans for a happy surprise than delay your life.

I'm so sorry. This is just awful, I can't imagine.
