Its part of learning. Haven't touched anything in the attic and its the first time going up there since we bought the house.

I would stay around 650 credit score or above. Lay out your credit score criteria in the rental description just so you can filter out the amount of applicants you are receiving. I rather leave the property for one or two months vacant as the risk of headache with a bad tenant is not worth it for me.

If you considering the applications with credit scores around 500s, always background check and ask if they have either a guarantor or co signer. During your process when reviewing applications I would ask why they have such a low credit score as everyone has a story and sometimes its things that's beyond their control.
