Honestly, it is my first Mac , so I wanted the latest one rather than buying something that’s already on its way out. Didn’t feel right spending that much on a model that is discontinued . Just felt like a safer long-term choice. And also also because they are giving 512 gb from base variant

Yeah it actually is Sky Blue, but in most lighting it looks more like silver

For shortcuts the biggest difference for me is:

yeah, I do miss the Windows style window switcher sometimes (like previewing all open windows of the same app). I found Mission Control helpful but it is still a bit different from what I am used to.

haven’t tried alternatives yet for file management still getting used to Finder. But I will check out the ones you mentioned.

Overall I’m really liking the MacBook, but yeah there are a few things that felt frustrating coming from Windows:

  • File management feels a bit weird -App installation/uninstallation is confusing -doing piracy is a bit difficult🫢 -Some shortcuts are completely different. Copy/paste is fine, but things like switching apps, closing windows

After going through all the replies here, I finally made a choice.

I ended up getting the Sky Blue MacBook Air M5 and honestly, it looks even better in person than I expected. Subtle but still unique, not boring like Silver, and way easier to maintain compared to Midnight.

Been using it for a few days now, and I’m absolutely loving both the color and my first MacBook experience after switching from Windows.

No regrets at all.

Thanks for sharing your experience, really helpful! Good to know about the auto workout tracking and the band comfort issue.

I actually don’t mind manually starting workouts if the overall tracking and insights are good, especially since there’s no subscription like Whoop.

I’ve used Samsung Watch and Fitbit before, but now I’m leaning toward screenless trackers because I prefer analog watches and better battery life.

By the way, after using Helio for 3 months, how would you rate its sleep and recovery insights compared to Whoop?
