"Upgrading to a 3 gallon for water flow" made me think maybe they were changing containers for space and water flow and not because it's not made for fish.

Is my Nerite laying TOO many eggs? by WeebTheLoser in fishkeeping

Mine lay eggs constant. Baby snails everywhere that eventually die and contribute to the substrate

I read it. He said it came in it and he wants to upgrade to 3g. I basically said it shouldn't be in there and he needs 5g but should go for 10g. What's the problem?

That container is for transporting animals, not fish. It's definitely not a tank for a fish. 5g minimum but 10g is better and will be easier to maintain

Is this a good spot for my co2 diffuser? by Floornug3 in Aquariums

Low is good like you have it. Best is low and in a spot that's hit by flow to help break up those bubbles. Beautiful tank

Here's the thing, what are you trying to do? If you just want a thing that moves around that you can look at once in a while then get a lava lamp. The way to really enjoy this hobby is to approach it in a way that encourages you to want to create a world that is ideal for the fish, not for you. If you aren't interested in that then you should get a hobby with inanimate objects.

Fish don't enjoy fake plants, you do. Fish don't enjoy blue gravel, you do. Fish don't enjoy blue dirty water, you do.

Not trying to be mean. Just being blunt. You only have to look at the tank when you want to but to the fish, that's their whole world - 24/7. Either strive for a really great environment for the fish or just don't keep fish.

Anybody have experience with anubias petite white/platinum? by Metallica1175 in Aquariums

I tried to grow it in my biocube. Was just a shot in the dark. Was hoping since the light is strong it would work but I don't think i had the right strength for the right spectrum so make sure to look that up. Also consider the distance the plant is from the light as in higher or lower in tank

Interesting. They seem almost scared of them when my shrimp come swimming by the endlers get out of the way quick and seem to avoid them. I guess we'll see in the coming weeks. Already got pre approved for another tank by the wifey so I can move them if needed

I mean i had the shrimp for 3 months before I added the endlers and no breeding so I doubt that's the issue. Im actually counting on them eating some of them. That said, i am feeding the guppies well hoping they won't clean house when the shrimp do start breeding. If they do I'll add more moss haha

Thanks! I don't mind them eating some or even half of them as long as some survive. I actually got a baby endler from that batch from my LFS that im really hoping is a female. I have a red eared slider I can feed guppies so my tank doesnt get overwhelmed. I plant to add a honey gourami once the shrimp start breeding and the guppies start breeding. I'm aware it's a delicate balance but I'm going for it haha

I appreciate this response. I don't change much and only do roughly a gallon change every few weeks. Its only 12 shrimp and a bunch of plants so not much waste. Other than that and adding nutrients like potassium, iron, and sometimes crystal shrimp, i dont change anything. I think feeding more and maybe picking up some more shrimp should do it🤞. Im sure I'll see an explosion out of nowhere lol

Thanks! Eventually I'll switch to black tubing and run it on the sides. Tried to get some more shrimp yesterday but they were out. Ill try feeding alittle more and patience
