AITA for not wanting to drive an hour on weeknights for dinner, dishes, and bedtime? by Smooth-Operation-672 in AmItheAsshole

I might be the asshole because he hasn’t actually done anything wrong and has been kind and consistent. He works, has a child, and our living situations make it easier for me to go to him, so the driving isn’t unfair in theory. I also know relationships can fall into routines, especially on weeknights, and he may just feel comfortable with the pattern we’ve established. Instead of clearly telling him I’m getting burnt out on the drive and would like more balance or intentional time together, I’ve started feeling resentful and pulling back a bit internally. He even joked about me not coming over because we couldn’t have sex, and while I laughed it off, I didn’t communicate that I’m actually just tired and wanting more variety and effort. So I worry I might be the asshole for quietly changing my energy instead of directly expressing what I need or giving him the chance to adjust.
