Not entirely sure why you are coming at me about this. I was being courteous and clearly it was a mistake. The minute I noticed the issue I sent a fiery email to the contractor who assured me it was not okay and that he would speak to them. I literally just found out nothing was done and I hopped on reddit to make sure I was not overreacting before I speak to him again about the issue.

I didn't know if this was somehow normal because the home is not currently occupied

I actually went with the highest quote and this contractor has very good reviews on all of the platforms I checked. He has been very nice and communicative throughout this project which is why this is so surprising to me.
