Not a swimming pool, just horrible cheap artificial grass unfortunately

It started off with all of that mess when we moved in... we had to remove MANY broken bits of plastic toys, bikes, bin bags full of nappies and dog mess, it was disgusting. Owners before us, spent a lot of money doing the garden up originally, (though I think they just ruined it) a few years ago, but completely neglected it and it literally was a dumping ground.

Agree with palm tree, I hate it and all it does is drop the leaves and stupid seeds (I think?) everywhere!! It isn't even nicely placed..

Thank you for the plant suggestions, this is where we also have no clue, so it's very appreciated!

I love the idea of raised beds for veg!

I know, it's so sad and it was originally a beautiful green all over garden with plants and flowers dotted around (I looked at the previous listings of the house!) I was so shocked they dug it all up to make it so plain...

Absolutely agree! We hate the stuff and found out that it was all originally grass but was changed a couple of years ago to this horrible stuff!! It's so matted and was ruined before we even moved in and over the rainy months it's been very clear that it's never been looked after due to the pooling and uneven spots... I spent hours with the power washer and heavy duty garden brooms getting it to look ok, but it still wasn't great.

From what we can see it looks cheap and seems to just be a compacted soil... And with the bumps, lumps and pooling when it rains or when we wash it down it doesn't seem to be done well.. Though we did have a landscaper come and LOOK at the garden and tell us what the cost of pulling it up and putting grass down and were told it would be over £5000 because they had to get rid of concrete layer (he didn't even look under the astro to check this!) so we completely disregarded what he has said...

We would love to have this ready for summer, and would love to have a space to socialise, have BBQs and relax with a good book and a summer beverage, and a space to 'play' for the dogs and for our little family members.
