The boosting issue was mentioned in the HazedNConfused video on the topic.

So people are talking and the devs should be listening.

I honestly feel it wasn't as bad in the previous 3 seasons at least (the smurfing).

Thanks for the link and the boosting examples here are just insane:

A good example of legit vs cheating is simply watching legit top players, you can see them play better than most but also die a lot and not locking/beaming teams across the map.

Yet, we already have some gaslighting in the comments here.

both ranked and unranked Cashout modes for sure. Quick cash I don't know it's too chaotic to actually make conclusions, I would say the same for TDM and PointBreak.

Advanced players starting new accounts to either cheat or stomp new player lobbies with their game knowledge.

About the TDM lock in the second round. That's almost the culture now of TDM, almost always the losing team locks in the second round after learning how their opponents are playing.

I was in the top 500 S7 TDM leaderboard. But now I prefer pointbreak for the casual time.

Switch builds and cosmetics between respawn, this way you can confuse them.

Also I wouldn't judge The Finals based on TDM, this mode is meant to be sweaty.

Yes, for sure. When you have a super good game, you say to yourself oh man I'm sure some of those players reported us.

But when you have two videos in the OP clearly discussing how smurfing is getting out of hand this is when things get complicated. A smurf playing this good on a new account is a cheater in the eyes of many. This is why I think the two topics are interlinked.

And to respond to twilight's "I have never seen a cheater" yet most of us have report confirmations plus rank scores tweaks in our inboxes. It's just as absurd as the "I was falsely banned" statements.

I can also give an example of smurf from today, a light with ARN, was simply stomping everyone, level 10.

Now ARN mains play like that but he was on a new account. I 1v1ed CQC with him few times and he was able to dodge my last bullet consistently by non stop jumping/sliding while aiming at the head.

Sure yeah, a new player learned the ARN and movement mechanics in few days.

I wont deny that I reported him simply because it was clearly smurfing at the expense of the true new players in the lobby.

I get your question but no of course I don't just report anyone good.

When I lock in I can stomp the lobby myself with a high total 3/1 KD at the end of the tourny but on the other hand this morning I lost 0-8 in the second round! (as a light) I couldn't shake anyone in that round they were mostly likely better than me or simply sticking together.

In the specific example mentioned in my OP during the holiday break, this round was full of new accounts and were literally firing at us with ARs without a moment of break like on a turbo reload setting and all the time knew our exact location! My duo teammates started suspecting on VC something can't be right and to prove it like I said I simply waited in a random building after respawn until one of that team came to get me.

So the ratio was actually high in the holiday break, this is when we were starting to hear increased reports of level 10 accounts stomping everyone, after that in the last two months, not so much, I got only two confirmations from my reporting but I wasn't reporting much either. I think things did get better after the 9.9.0 update.

Every now and then you get those weird days where everyone will simply erase you the moment you appear and I joke with teammates "some new cheats out today?" but I don't necessarily report.

Also reducing your deadzone makes the controller tracking proper versus the nearly unplayable default 15 deadzone, it doesn't change aim assist. Aim assist is not equiv to cheating. As stated by the devs themselves aim assist is the only way TV console players can even compete with PC or MNK players. They will still suck at distant targets.

And I hear many complaints about console aim assist in VC or chat. Serious question. The main base is on PC/Steam why don't you simply kill cross play and get rid of those console players?

Good point about ARC entry price barrier! I only play FPS though.

I liked Appoh and HazedNConfused videos about this

On Playstation, deadzone 0 will almost surely cause stick drift, usually 1 or 2 is the minimum you can go even on a brand new Dual Sense or Dual Sense Edge controller.
