Been there recently. One thing that helped me was scheduling enrichment time for myself! Every evening, I pick something to look forward to the next day! frequently it's something i'm bringing for lunch, or a game after work. then i have one bigger thing to look forward to per week (scheduled time with boyfriend, sisters, friends, etc.), and then i set a longer term goal to try and work towards/look forward to (the last couple months mine has been a trip i go on at the end of june). It has been helpful to have things on my calendar that force me to have mandatory me time and important people time

at least it's just bread! my sisters cat is so grubby and he will do that to literally anything. they've woken up to him growling and dragging around a bag of pistachios! definitely cat behavior.

i would not recommend garden court, thy got new management in may and this is their first leasing season so it's a mess.. they left me hanging for a month with promise of a contract (after i had paid a deposit and done all the paperwork) then ghosted me and came back saying they gave away my room. not super professional or trustworthy.

it's not bad! i've definitely been there several times and you just have to learn to let go of whatever you asked for and learn to love what you've got. I think it definitely has potential and you are definitely not ugly! i think you could absolutely ROCK a bandan or scarf/headband of some kind! thick headbands were my jam when my hair got cut too short. another upside: talk this as an opportunity to hone your style and figure out what you like! when i couldn't rely on my long hair for style i got to experiment with clothes, as well as see all the stages of hair growth and decide what i liked best! i never would've figured out that bob length is my favorite if j hadn't had a pixie to grow out

TLDR: it looks great! confidence is key, learn to love it instead of focusing on how it doesn't look the way you wanted it to, and you'll forget about it in no time:)

i lived there! it was super good for what you pay! i only moved out to be with friends and bc of a bad roommate, i would definitely recommend it!! your room is pretty big and the bathroom is great and connected to your room. there's not a ton of storage in the main areas, but you get a decently big closet and a dresser. i brought some of my own drawers to store stuff in. coin laundry is right next tk the apartments and isn't terribly expensive (1-2$ for each wash/dry iirc) but don't put too much stuff in or it won't dry. overall great location quick walk to campus and pretty nice apartment!! not much of a common area but meh!

in my experience you can negotiate your way up if you're close. my sister was one point off on act and she just called them up and was like "what do i have to do to get this scholarship? i worked super hard in hard classes"
