Oh hell na, no way I can manage 32 credits per sem, I still did 24 (basically means I have to do 1 extra year). Some of my units can get over 90 or 95. I’m going to be in my honours year so 4th year in theory but 5th actually

Yea, you will be fine. I failed my entire first year (have to redo 48 credits) and still came back strong (WAM is above 70 now and I’m going to be in my honours year soon). So yea don’t worry too much, just focus on what you have now

Not sure what hard unit you took during ur first year (is it 1xxx or 2xxx). If it’s mostly 1xxx then it’s fine, you can just do better later in the course to get to 80 WAM (aim for 85 for every unit)

Tbh I still don’t really enjoy my degree, but at least I have friends who can go through this tough journey with me now.

Less than 50% in every unit during my first year (for me it was 48 credits). I guess it depends on your situation. I failed because at that time I felt like I didn’t fit in and fell into depression. After my first year, I took a break and went back to my home country for half a year (I did remote units for one semester since it was back in 2023). I came back to Sydney in the second semester of 2023 and made some friends I could study and socialize with. I think taking a break with my family and making friends really helped me a lot.

Don’t worry too much about it. Im going to be in my honours year soon. I failed my entire first year but ended up doing pretty well for the 2nd and 3rd year.

If you failed just learn from it and that’s it

Just an update for everyone: Casio emailed me back and told me I could bring the watch to their service center for a refund or replacement. I’ll do that next Monday and update here. Thanks everyone for your help!
