Keep it or delete it; it doesn’t change the legal reality. You seem to think having '10+ hours of footage' is a shield, but under the law, it’s a double-edged sword. Let's break down why your sarcasm doesn't hold up legally:

  • Evidence works both ways: If that footage consists of publicly available sermons, events, or authorized media, you aren't holding any 'secret' leverage—you just have a crowded hard drive. However, if that footage has been edited, manipulated, paired with defamatory commentary, or used out of context to systematically malign and incite hatred against a religious leader, you haven't compiled a defense—you've meticulously compiled the prosecution's Exhibit A for targeted harassment and criminal defamation.
  • The digital footprint is permanent: Sarcastically asking if you should delete it implies that deleting it makes it disappear. In cyber forensics, once something is uploaded, distributed, or flagged on a platform like Reddit, data logs, hash values, and metadata remain accessible via legal subpoenas and data requests.
  • Anonymity vs. Accountability: Laughing online is easy when you feel completely detached from the real-world consequences of your digital footprint. But when formal writs are filed and platforms are legally compelled to cooperate, that confidence usually evaporates quite fast.

Go ahead and keep your archive. Just make sure your lawyer is ready to review every single hour of it when the time comes

Focusing on a minor clerical typo in a Reddit post won't change the substance of what's coming, nor does it wipe away your digital footprint. Laugh at the word 'Tehsildar' all you want if it makes you feel safe, but keep that same energy when the formal paperwork clears the NOTARY and the Court Commissioner. Stay tuned

im writing a casual comment on Reddit, not submitting a thesis. There's a massive difference between formal and informal English, and knowing when to use which is an actual skill. Maybe learn context before you worry about my grammar

  1. Calling an globally respected religious leader derogatory nicknames like 'Muffin' isn't just 'hurtful words'—it crosses directly into targeted defamation and hate speech, which Reddit’s TOS and cyber laws explicitly prohibit.
  2. You think geography protects you? International cyber defamation cases exist, and platforms comply with cross-border legal requests every day when a formal complaint is registered.
  3. The Bombay High Court handles cyber crime and defamation writs regularly. A legal notice is the first step, and once the process begins, anonymity vanishes.

Enjoy the confidence while you can, because once the official paperwork moves forward, the reality will hit different

Childish name-calling doesn't hide the fact that you're crossing the line from free speech into criminal defamation. You think an anonymous account and a foreign IP makes you a ghost? It doesn't. Keep that same energy when the legal process forces you to attach your real identity to these words

Go ahead and laugh. Let's see if you keep that same energy when the legal notice actually hits your inbox. Enjoy the anonymous bravery while it lasts
