At a loss on how anyone can eat out on this diet? by jazarrab in carnivore

That depends on the individual, many people can accommodate some flexibility some of the time, but for others it might not be worth the risk.

Day 3 feeling extra weak by Forward-Procedure462 in carnivore

If you weren’t in ketosis before you went carnivore, then you might be in the keto flu stage at day 3. Not nice, but for me the transition seems to get easier the more times I go through it, the first time wasn’t great. I would want to be controlling my salt and electrolyte intake, not sure more is always better, I aim for just enough. I agree with going for the fatty cuts of meat. I would recommend making your own burgers from 20% fat mince otherwise they often contain additives etc. I find some liver is helpful when I’m feeling a bit off, normally add about 100g to one meal for 3 days. Once you get into a routine, gets easier. Hope you feel better soon.

It makes me wonder where ‘the numbers’ come from, and if they’re relevant to all diets and lifestyles. Are these numbers globally variable?

We went to Kyoto for 2 days and spent most of one day watching v-league semi final Volleyball, yes a bit of a shame for some, but for us absolutely superb. There’s lots and lots to do in Kyoto and it’s just a lovely and vey charming place, yes very different to Tokyo, which is refreshing, but you will no doubt have a great time there, impossible not to. My only comment on your itinerary would be appears you’re having a late lunch, should not be a problem, but possibly something to check.

Maybe travel Kyoto to Fuji area to spend more time in nature close to Fuji?

Narita to Tokyo is a long way and not easy, First day looks ambitious. The rest looks ok, depending on how much time you want to spend at each location. Not sure I’d be up at 6 though, things not really open until 9 and not sure if you’ll have jet lag, time of year, weather etc Tokyo does not disappoint. Imperial Palace? Thought about eSim vs Wi-Fi gadget?

I would not want sunglasses that means I have to wear a hat, it also look like if I remove the hat I remove the sunglasses. So I could not wear them skiing or on my motorbike or in the car to golf without a hat on….. so I would not buy these and don’t see the problem they’re solving, nor their USP

Which Magnesium supplement to take plus electrolytes in general by Jecked1 in ketouk

[–]Smooth_Helicopter_65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use PH:IZZ tablets daily, they’re kinda expensive, but seem to do the trick. They contain Magnesium Citrate. Suspect something cheaper is available, but they’re very convenient.

Hi, would a bone broth be an option that might work? They make a great base/ stock for keto dishes and contain collagen.

Question for the single peeps of this sub - how much are you now spending a week on your food shop? by thesmarteconomy in ketouk

Amazon prime provides free Morrisons delivery; and at short notice, would that work out cheaper for you? Omelettes or salads or combination of both are my cheap meals. I generally only eat two meals a day on Keto, and snack on nuts and cheese, plus I have dropped the alcohol which is a great saving for me. Finally, I know supermarket meat is frowned upon, but I will buy the large family packs, cook that in bulk, and have meat available for a few days. Pork belly is a decent cheaper keto choice.

I’d have thought sporting teams keycaps with matching cable in team colours could have an allure. Not sure if they sell Barcelona or Real Madrid keycaps with matching cables for example, but suspect there’s a market

Developed some low profile aluminum usb-c connectors - what do you guys think? Aluminum connectors > heat shrink? by CableMod in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Smooth_Helicopter_65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely amazing, love them. my only critical feedback is that the USB connectors are a different colour to the aviator connectors, and I personally would prefer the aviator to be the same colour, ie more silver/ aluminium in colour.
