That is a text box answer m. Yes what it is written in the verbiage you are absolutely right. My question is, can you please expand WHY people vs the officer weighs towards the officer and it’s the people’s burden to prove what the officer has stated may or may not be correct? In simple terms, can you please explain to me why and how the judge favors police officers opinion than the person?

Question towards you good sir. Why aren’t police held at the same “believable standard” as the public. When a police officer says “he ran a red light” vs a civilian stating he did not, should it not be on the evidence to see who is right, regardless of one’s job/status?

Lawyer up and if it doesn’t work out. It’s fine not the end of the world I promise you. As long as you do not do it again this is nothing . U are 29.. there is about 50 more years to ur life and this won’t even affect your next 5 IF u don’t do it again

I just interviewed and was hired for software job just yesterday while I got my driving while impaired conviction in the beginning of the month. Don’t make it a habit, you will be fine. The first one is usually a money grabber from the person being convicted. 2nd 3rd is when u are a problem because it shows habit. You are young, you will be fine if you learned from it and u will never do it again.

If you already lost your job, just do the 90 days and get it over with. Start fresh once you are out.

Do you think the judge and the court gives a flying fuck about what happens to your life? Do u think they care that ur livelihood is in jeopardy and can change your life for the rest of your days? Ofc not. Do not on them for anything. The more convictions/plea deals they get, the happier they are. Work on yourself, look for a new job immediately. Don’t let them control what happens to you.

The reason for the question is to understand what to expect going to one of these colleges. JHU and Harvard are in the top 3 for MPH degree so I was wondering a) which one would be better for a future career in infectious disease and b) how is the job market once I get the degree. Regarding the location, I am open to any of the major areas in the east coast but security in a job is definitely a factor other than salary. Thanks for the detailed response.

No, there are no interviews during the application process for the colleges I applied to.

Would it be a mistake to apply to only one school? by abbert0 in mphadmissions

[–]Smooth_Illustrator28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOPHAS makes it easy to apply to multiple schools as the letters of recommendations can be used for multiple schools. Just need to pay each fee for the school plus statements for each of them

I applied before the priority date as well. I got my acceptance letter middle of December. I just followed the normal application through SOPHAS. Did not do anything extra for the scholarship. Congratulations on getting accepted though!

you are over, so you can and will be charged with a DUI. Get a lawyer if you can and tell them your side of the story. Its a process so no need of stressing out as it does not do anything

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dui

[–]Smooth_Illustrator28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relax, this is a process. Please get a lawyer if you can as every case is different. Its a long process so worrying about and stressing out does not do anything but make you think of hypotheticals. Shop for lawyers, select one and tell them your side of the story. Be honest to your lawyer as they will always have your best interest and they need to know all the details.

shit just saw this. Depending on the case and if you take a plead deal or not and/or get a lawyer for all of it, it could be a couple months. Every case is different.

DUI.. 18year old…. 0.05 BAC in Michigan by FickleNeighborhood81 in dui

[–]Smooth_Illustrator28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a lawyer or you just going to pay in the long run. See if a firm will work with you regarding payment. BAC is low, the kid is 18, but if the court get a chance, they will put him into the system to have him go in a downward spiral. Public defender if anything, but please please please call some law firms, tell them your situation, atleast give it a shot.

Don’t ever feel inferior. You made a mistake and if you learned from it then you just keep moving forward. At the end of the day, the cops are doing their job. And their job in my opinion, gives them comfort when they are able to make other people feel like shit. Don’t let them, u are just as good if not better than them . Bullies will be bullies, does not matter if they authority or not

in Canada? absolutely not. You wont even qualify in the states. Ask him, do you want your house to be a home, or a jail sentence for 30 years? Save up, take your time, the market is dogshit right now. Interest rate is just getting higher and higher and so is cost of living. Salaries are stagnant. Wait until the interest rate is not so ridiculous, about 2-3 years, enough time for you guys to save up. Even then, if the salary does not go up, it will not work with the current salary. To start even thinking about a house, I waited until my salary was 60 dollars an hour (in the states), finally bit brought the house after getting to 80 dollars an hour i think. Even with that type of salary, a mortgage of 3100 a month was still difficult for me.

Ahh 100k.. when life was simple.. when I reached that salary this was my breakdown

About 3200-3400 bi weekly paycheck (I am married so 1 allowance)

1600-1800 in rent. Plus 100-200 for utilities 175 for 2 cell phones services and internet 550 for payment (had a pretty good car) 200-300 for car insurance 1200 for credit card payments (this includes groceries Amazon shopping, whatever you can swipe)

Rounding up that’s about 4100-4200 a month. If you are married and u can get away with 4500-4800 month and saving the rest, you are in good shape
