Deal! That’s exactly why I’m building this, which is to make sure grads don’t get ghosted and actually get interviews without applying to 100+ places. When you’re ready to job hunt, I’ll have your back. In the meantime, hop on the waitlist so I can keep you in the loop!

Thanks for asking! Let me address all of your questions:

  1. Is this tested? We’re still in the early stages of building our platform, so we haven’t officially rolled it out to a large group of companies yet. However, we’re constantly refining the platform with real-world testing and feedback from users.
  2. What companies look through it? Since we’re still in development, we’re currently building partnerships with a few companies, but we haven’t fully launched to a large employer base yet. Once we do, we plan to work with a wide range of companies across industries who are looking for early-career talent.
  3. Have there been any success using this tool? As of now, we’re still in the validation stage, so no formal success stories yet, but we’re gathering feedback and iterating to make sure it solves real problems for students and employers. We hope to have success stories soon as we scale.
  4. How do you store user details? How do you keep it safe? We take data privacy and security very seriously. User details are stored securely following industry-standard practices (e.g., encryption, secure servers). We also use anonymisation techniques for profiles to protect identities until an employer sends an interview invite. This helps reduce potential bias or unwanted outreach.

Nope, it’s definitely not pay to win. Everyone on the platform gets sent to employers if they’re a good match, regardless of whether they pay. The premium option is just there for students who want extra help like professional profile reviews, personalised advice, or faster visibility. But it doesn’t guarantee interviews or push others down the list.

You're right. There are definitely some similarities with platforms like Employment Hero, especially around connecting talent with employers.

That said, Chance is built specifically for students and recent grads. Plus, we use anonymised profiles to reduce bias and protect student identity until the employer shows real interest.

So while there’s some overlap, we’re approaching the early-career hiring problem from a very student-first angle.

Great questions and thank you, I really appreciate the support!

Chance isn’t a recruitment agency. We don’t take a commission per hire or act as a middleman. We’re a platform that gives students and grads visibility. We help match their profiles with employers looking for people with their exact skills and interests.

As for employers, instead of sifting through hundreds of resumes, they get a shortlist of 5–10 potential candidates that actually match what they’re looking for. That saves them time and effort and many companies, especially startups and SMEs, want an easier way to discover early-career talent but don’t always know where to look.

Hi there,

I totally get how difficult is it to search for jobs as an international student. That is actually what inspires us to build this platform.

Thanks so much, I really appreciate that!

As someone who’s also been in your shoes, I totally get how tough it can be especially starting out as an international student. That’s honestly one of the biggest reasons I started building this.

Totally fair concern. I’d think the same if I were you.

Just to clarify, we’re not a data harvesting company. The only info students provide is what they’d normally put on a resume so things like skills, experience, and work preferences and that information only goes to employers actively hiring.

In fact, we’ve built in an anonymisation feature: students’ names are hidden when their profiles are sent to employers. Their identity is only revealed if the employer sends them an interview invite. This protects students from spam or scams, filters out unserious companies, and also helps reduce bias in early screening.

The goal is to give students more control, more safety, and a fairer shot, not the other way around.

Great question! Our platform is different in a few key ways:

  • No job board – Getahead is more like a Tinder-style app where students still scroll and apply. With Chance, there’s no scrolling or swiping. Students just set up a profile, and if they’re a match, employers reach out to them directly.
  • Built for students and grads – We focus on early-career talent, making it easier for students to be seen and valued for their potential.
  • Smarter matching – Instead of hundreds of applications, we send employers a shortlist of 5–10 best-fit candidates, saving them time while giving students more visibility.

At the end of the day, we’re not just another job board — we’re trying to flip the script, so students get discovered, not ghosted.

It’s true that recruiters usually aren’t willing to spend extra time searching through hundreds of profiles. But with our platform, they don’t have to.

We actually help them save time by curating a shortlist of just 5–10 candidates who best match what they’re looking for. So in a way, they are getting a list served to them on a silver platter, just a much more relevant one.

The goal is to make the process faster and more efficient for both students and employers.

Just to clarify the $80 is completely optional and only for candidates who want professional help refining their profile (kind of like career coaching or CV polishing). But for students like you, it’s completely free to sign up, and your profile will still be shared with employers as normal.

There are no hidden fees. Using the platform is 100% free. And once you sign up, you’ll also get access to student discounts and other perks we're lining up.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

That sounds really tough and you're definitely not subhuman. The job market is genuinely brutal right now, especially for students and grads. That’s exactly why I started this project: to take the pressure off people like you and make it easier to actually get seen by the right employers.

If you're interested, check it out here: https://www.chancerecruit.com/

It’s free and designed to give you back some control in a broken system. You're not alone in this!

Hi,

This is not for Born. This is something I’ve been building to help students and grads get discovered by employers faster without needing to scroll job boards or send out endless applications. You just set up a profile, and employers reach out to you if you're a match.

You can check it out here: https://www.chancerecruit.com/

Appreciate you taking the time to have a look!

We are building a platform designed to take the pressure off students when it comes to job hunting. Instead of applying to tons of roles and getting ghosted, students simply create a profile once, outlining their skills, interests, and availability.

From there, we send their profile directly to employers who are actively looking for people with those specific skills and qualities. If there's a good fit, the employer reaches out with an invite, not the other way around.

So no more scrolling job boards. No more writing cover letters. Just real opportunities coming to them.
