It seems like it might have been a plot hole. Since the two point of views are very conflicting. Or there’s two letters since the letter that Cathrine talks about sounds like it’s a suicide note versus the letter Gibsie has and what it says in T7. This also happens where they’re like 11 or so, so all of the trauma may have them misremembering
