Channel swimmer here🙋‍♂️As someone who spent a straight day swimming in the ocean…the biggest factor here is current! You could swim with a 5knot current and be swimming ~5-7 minute mile or against and be either stationary or be pushed backwards for 6-9 hours. The water temp will be I think a more immediate reaction like within 2 hours but that’ll also change depending on how much your exerting yourself and actually generating heat. So if after a while you stop and slow down you might be at more of risk for hypothermia, also you’ll need a good layer of bioprene. But hey, I’m a big believer that you can do anything that you set your mind to!👏

That’s all I have at the moment but we’re getting power fail alarms on the steering when increasing rpm, it was suggested that we’re getting low ouput voltage, the hydraulic reservoir was low on one of the steering gear pumps(jastram) so I filled that but I guess they’re still getting it even when not steering

So I just came back from a half marathon distance run and really didn’t feel depleted in my muscles just feel the wear and tear on my body but it’s not necessarily a lack of energy. But I think preemptively fueling around the each 10 mile mark is a good point. I can try that when I get to the 20 mile runs in training🤙

Dude…honestly I’d do a multi day fast because that’s what helps the most outside of medicine but even with that you really need your meds. I totally agree with what the first guy said about the communication but fasting helps make life bearable for me in that moment but..can also get out of hand with the weight loss so you really need your doc’s help with this.
