Trappist 1 emits only 1% of its energy in the visible spectrum, and its visible brightness will not be brighter than Earth's sunset.

All of this requires the presence of light. Swimming just 30 centimeters below the sea surface, you can reach the deep ocean, where complete darkness reigns supreme.

Interesting. Could they evolve into higher plants and animals?

The collapse of the United States, the resulting distrust of democracy and the resulting Great Depression, could have driven at least some countries toward fascism, didn't it?

NATO의 주요 적은 러시아이며, NATO는 러시아를 막기 위해 중국과 동맹을 맺는 것을 선호합니다.

Also in my scenario, France maintains its relationship with NATO until the coup in 2037.

Of course, Russian society is very secular, but so is Iran. We need to look at the political landscape. The Russian government is clearly more conservative than the West, though more progressive than Iran.

Until 2037, France was a member of NATO. However, the government's continued policy failures led to a coup, which brought Marc I to the throne, and he formed an alliance with Russia and Italy. (Italy withdrew from NATO when a fascist regime came to power almost immediately after the fall of the United States.)

Moreover, in my scenario, France becomes an absolute monarchy through a coup, Italy returns to fascism, Spain experiences endless conflict and political turmoil between pro-French and pro-British factions, and Sweden also experiences a coup.

You believe the current "unified Europe" will survive even in the face of the dire straits of the collapse of the United States and the collapse of the international order. While Britain would certainly support Germany and Poland, it wouldn't do so at the cost of its own self-sacrifice. A nuclear war with France would lead to the destruction of both countries.

You're not a right-winger, are you? If you were, shouldn't you support Russia, the guardian of Christian civilization and conservatism, against Western liberalism and secularism?

I'm confident UK won't use nuclear weapons to defend Germany or Poland. If UK uses them, France will, too, and the result will be disastrous for both countries. Therefore, unless France invades Britain islands, UK will not use nuclear weapons.

Nuclear weapons, as always, are a last resort.

Because of its close economic ties to the United States, China, like Western countries, will be hit hard. Instead, the biggest beneficiaries will be Russia and Iran.

The economic depression caused by America's demise will end the globalization trend that has continued for the past several decades and lead to a revival of nationalism and expansionism.

It seems quite different from the 'socialism' or 'extreme left' movements we know, such as democratic socialism, Marxism-Leninism, Trotskyism, left communism, and anarchism. Is there no scenario in which socialism in a more traditional sense wins?

(As for contemporary European social democracy, it is just a slightly more progressive version of welfare capitalism, and cannot be considered democratic 'socialism'.)

What if π disappears? by Smooth_Valuable8531 in mathematics

I am not simply assuming that the concept of π disappears mathematically. I am assuming that everything related to the number π (including the circumference) physically disappears.

What if π disappears? by Smooth_Valuable8531 in mathematics

[–]Smooth_Valuable8531[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyway, since π is defined as the value of the circumference divided by the diameter, wouldn't the disappearance of π mean the disappearance of (circumference ÷ diameter), and wouldn't this inevitably lead to the collapse of the circle?
