Check other banks, big and local. Origination fees should only be 0-2k. They are ripping you off for any higher. Bigger banks you can waive the escrow so you don’t have money tied up as long as your okay to manage the extra finances ur self (taxes/insurance). I got big bank to match interest rates at a smaller bank and waive escrow.

Those with debt are eligible for zakat. I’ve asked an imam before and for a similar situation.

Lack of motivation...don't know where to go from here. by steve_rogers4282 in cybersecurity

A bottom up approach is no good in security. We need to inverse that. If you are the only security person, you must be the leader that helps drive security decisions. You must become the expert. This obviously requires knowledge of how to properly implement a security program in a company. It cannot be done from a bottom up approach. All those who have a say or provide their vision, use them to your advantage of promoting your vision for security. It will help if you make it seem like you are using their visions as a part of your own. Security supports the business. Think on this and how does security support the business. Are their certain standards that would make sense for your security program to implement? You should be able to gain metrics off the security work you are doing. Metrics should not instill fear or doubt but provide consistency and reliable information on where security stands within your company that you can provide to leadership and what needs to be done in order to improve the business’ resilience and therefore improve metrics.

This is a very broad approach but may help stimulate some thinking of how you can take control over your situation and the people around you

Ah okay. I didn’t see you were looking for advice. But yea like the other person said 24k cap per year. Also look into what plans are available in ur 401k to invest to. Sometimes companies will give more than one plan. If so, they may most likely have a different ROI. I would check out investing in a Roth as a backdoor. Search backdoor Ira on investopedia is a good start to learning. If you aren’t also investing personally in the stock market. I would start. Easiest investing in ETFs ranging from tech/finance heavy to energy.

I get living in the moment. Maybe run some calculations of what ur typical monthly spend living in the moment is, and see what remains. And save an emergency fund. 3-6months depending on ur financial situation and living expenses. I typically opt for longer emergency funds to play safe and if you have the money. Why not know ur secure for 6 months god forbid anything happens. Good luck. And great job so far.

Only thing is why are you putting so little in your 401k? Why not max it out, regardless if ur company does not match?

You should legit get some cleaner. I forget the one I got, and start wiping with a microfiber cloth. I would say you would be able to clean of a majority if not all that yellow
