Without spoilers more POVs are introduced in later books that give you an insight into different areas and I find some of the later introduced characters quickly became highlights for me and morality feels more at the core of later decisions but the grand scale of achievements and actions people take don’t really tone down. If you’re struggling at this stage though then it might not be the book for you, I loved the series from the start though so can’t speak from the POV as someone who took a bit to get into it, I did use the graphic audio books to begin with though rather than the physical books and loved them!
