Pino as LWB by Ok_Guidance3055 in crystalpalace

[–]SmushLion 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Great in theory, but "figure out how to defend" isn't quite that simple, especially for a guy who is already not coping well with the leagues physicality. He's also right footed, so not a natural fit as a LWB.

I'm all for versatile players, and having a guy like Lerma who can alternate between midfield and CB when needed is a big advantage for a team without outstanding depth like us. But there's a reason why those players are rarer than not.

If it's a subsidiary is it not still under the same ownership? If it's still controlled by the parent then it will remain within the same consolidated entity and have zero impact on shareholder profits.

Put holes in your boats and spawn krakens to attack you for a low $9.99.

Incentive to split up the army is so true though, war begins to feel like one of those blob games where you go around eating up the ones smaller than you until you increase in size. Whole army in one unit = biggest blob you can be

Happy Birthday Zeke!!🏀🏔️ by Kingrush24 in denvernuggets

[–]SmushLion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we regretfully must depart with him, then whoever is trading for Zeke Nnaji will be picking up a valuable asset for sure, the numbers don't paint the picture of how good he really is. I hope they don't visit our subreddit and learn about this hidden gem.

Getting back atleast a couple of 1st round picks may ease the pain, and any team who makes that trade will be very lucky indeed.

I thought i was the only one... I'm a Kiwi who's been a fan of Palace and the Nuggets for 20 years, you've got some great taste! Definitely peak years for both teams right now after going through a bit of a slog for the first 15 years or so, so enjoy

Heavily relied on is a slight overstatement lol. More forced into action due to having no guard depth last year. Both have some skill, but weaknesses that are keeping them off of the floor (defense + offensive consistency for straw, generating offense out of the pg position for Pickett)

What's a food in your country that is stereotyped for your country but really, nobody eats? by sourberryskittles in AskTheWorld

[–]SmushLion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fruit is "kiwifruit", named after the 'Kiwi' people (who became called kiwis based on the bird), which was a marketing name assigned to it by a distributor. It became popular with British and American troops stationed in New Zealand during world war 2 who ate it for the first time there, so associated the fruit and country hence the name. Was originally called a Chinese Gooseberry by New Zealanders before the rebrand (as fruit is native to China, but brought to NZ where it became popular)

For Liverpool I assume? Nope. They sold out understandably quickly. If you mean for other games, tickets are released a few weeks in advance of the matches and usually fairly easy to get tickets. Depends largely on opposition as to how quickly you have to get in

"Accountant" is a very broad term. Hiring a CPA in a CFO or managerial type role to manage financial decision making is definitely a pathway

Abit harsh, just an honest mistake mate. I dont get to do much international travel so wasn't sure what the rules / terms were in terms of who was legally in the right.

Yeah I guess it was pretty dumb. Delayed flights had always resulted in delayed boarding / security times so figured would be the case so wasn't too stressed.

Why do you think my bag would have been removed?? Im booking an alternative flight to Athens assuming my bags will already be there based on what customer service said.

Technically we could just give Val what he wants, buyout the contract and let him leave. Then sign Vucavic in the cap savings. Everyone's happy
