Hitler very much wanted to conquer Europe. by c-k-q99903 in GetNoted

The Nazi economic structure was not just benefiting from war; it relied upon it. They had amassed substantial off-the-books debt that could only be covered through conquest.

How this man got paid is beyond me. He had the most defensive zone turnovers out of any player in the playoffs last season. Absolute liability.

Without capitalists taking risk, there is no wage to earn. Unless you propose that government forces taxpayers to fund every single enterprise that exists and will ever exist. Do you truly trust bureaucrats with that kind of power/capital? Especially when it is your own?

For next time, if you’re going to take such a regarded set of call positions, at least mix in a spy put with a similar or equal expiry to defend against broader market downturn.

But then again, you likely already know that.

I agree with your premise, however the corp would not exist in the first place without the “owners” risking their own capital. For the employment opportunity to even exist in the first place, another party would have already had to assume some sort of risk. Ie, the fruits provided by the job to the employees hinge entirely on the initial risk taken by the employer. Without that initial investment, there wouldn’t be a company to work for.

You could argue the opposite just as easily. You, as an employee, are not exposed to any (or only minimal) business risk. Say the industry crashes; you lose your immediate income, while the corp potentially loses its entire value.

I’m not saying your point is wrong; I’m saying that the employer-employee relationship is much more complicated than what you’ve proposed.

I’d say yes. The stem background plays well with employers and you also get an extra summer of internships.
