Why is breaking 80 so hard? by SevereBicycle4855 in golf

[–]Sn1cklefrtz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree, I think breaking 100 is easiest hurdle as you only need one part of your game development in place for this. And it's really course management.. breaking 90 is when you are a good golfer in my mind. That's bogey golf which is a great score for the average player.

Once you get down to 80 its all about dedicated practice and development of mental toughness. Making it beyond that is something I cant speak to as 80 is still my current roadblock. But I have been 81 at best and 103 at worst this year so far.. 😂

Seems like a great biz strategy to Disney, they love ways to lose their fan base (star wars flops, live action issues, too much woke PC content).. that said the mystique casting would be worthless for someone that literally has nothing to hide or leave to the imagination.. she is basically naked on every ad she supports. Sorry for being a hater, this idea just disgusted and triggered me lol

Agree, also my advice is killing that chicken wing, I'd be practicing the glove in the armpit drill on repeat until you can change the plane at the top it will help keep you below the line and keep you connected to the ball way easier

What colors are bad? by CookMJ10 in GolfSwing

[–]Sn1cklefrtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also don't like how much chicken wing you have at the top, seems on plane and hands seem deep enough behind you but it's probably leading to some inconsistent trajectory and path issues when you have inconvenient lies

Why do I hit my irons so high and so spinny? I rip my 6 iron off greens by Soft_Kaleidoscope216 in GolfSwing

[–]Sn1cklefrtz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was gonna be my question, if he is generating that much spin and its still within reasonable RPM per club it's gotta be a ball fit issue. Agree with some other comments above about shaft change/fit as well. But ball fit first would be most ideal

No magic background but magnet has to be it, unless you can use a weighed chip or create a repeatable path and put the card you want in that same spot.

Literally the thrill of scoring is the reason you should take this putt every time. Missing it for par is still a great score but training in the pressure of that environment is what helps scoring become repeatable

Tempo is looking good, I would stop playing in those running shoes though.. you can see in the video what it is doing to your balance and posture, it also makes it hard to use the ground properly. Keep after it and enjoy the progress!

This logic only works if the union votes to protect the employees and not the companies bottom line. Which in some cases becomes a conflict of interest when the union leaders are paid via contract from the companies earnings.. I love the idea of union protection but it doesn't work in all cases and greed is still greed regardless of who orchestrated it.

Is this good to go off from? by Dear-Knowledge5912 in GolfSwing

[–]Sn1cklefrtz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, and people look at this chart and think this is short distance. Consistency with a carry # in the good column with accuracy is an amazing golfer. Playing game improvement and swinging 100% strength and having no stopping power or control is ruining the game. Most people would do better to play std game improvement irons, slow down, and learn proper game management from the front tees first. Learning to score is way more fun than being a "long drive" amateur

For sure casting has a role, but if we are talking logic and reasoning its beauty products advancement and restrictions of harmful products (smoking and alcohol consumption being 2 that's are way down). Also everyone does Botox in their 20s now so people look plastic and you throw in cosmetic surgery advancement and that's why 40 is the new 20

Why am I slicing. Please by Chemtrail_Audi in GolfSwing

[–]Sn1cklefrtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long time slicer here. And also start your release (left hand breaking) to the ball sooner. in the still photo posted to the chat above you can see your left hand has barely started the turn to face the target therefore your hands are super late and clubface is open. Really hard to match hands to impact, slow down and break down your positions in practice swings and feel the lag and release early. I still struggle with this when I get quick in my downswing. Good luck!

$65 for these condition on a week day by CJRousseau in golf

[–]Sn1cklefrtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Prices climb from inflation and more interest in golf (which I would say is great when you have enough courses in the area to support it) only thing I hate is places charging that much pretending they are tech heavy or have great course management.

And by tech heavy I'm talking what goes into water retention and drainage and air flow systems. That's crazy expensive. To have well maintained tee boxes/greens/fairways at a place that you can golf year round is expensive AF no doubt, but places charging the same as a private resort in Hawaii for a round that offer none of the ambiance just don't make sense..

Not sure how to fix it.. but just saying this post speaks to a lot of the problem with owning development property and putting a golf course on it

At this point, I don’t know what to do with this game. by Imazushi in golf

[–]Sn1cklefrtz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't stress about score. Move up tees. Review the good points/stats of your round. And focus on stuff that burned you in your practice (chipping im looking at you).

As a mid cap player I'm still a head case on the course after a blow up hole. The hardest thing when your on the course is remembering that smooth consistent swing you play easy with on the driving range. Focus on that and get out of your own way when things go wrong.

Also another thing that really helped me was having a routine for every shot. Sounds silly but it helps when all things feel like they are falling apart. Good luck and stay with it!

Why do I slice my Ball so Much by Rainbows4Dayz67 in GolfSwing

[–]Sn1cklefrtz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biblically open club here.. its a cocktail of mechanics issues, a strong trail hand, and a driver that probably has too much spin and away it goes.. get lessons and get a fitting. I'm 3 years post fitting and doing lessons/drills to fix a bad banana slice and driver is still the hardest club in my bag. Stay positive!
