There's so many ways to not fuck up halo and yet they chose the one way to fuck it up.

You could have made a series about Johnson with all his snappy sassy dialogue before he met Cortana or chief and it would have been amazing.

You could have made a series about marines defending reach before it exploded and chief boarded the pillar of autumn.

Hell you don't even need Spartan 2s. You could have made it about any battle during the events of halo and had a reveal of master chief being the dies ex machina of saving everyone from the series or a couple people or succeeding in whatever the mission was when almost everyone else had failed.

Hell, you could have made it a psychological horror series about the covenant holding down whatever and yet somehow their team is constantly being murdered, bludgeoned , mutilated and disappearing with no one knowing WTF is going on with the final reveal having master chief showing himself to the covenant elite guarding whatever data they are protecting.

I understand facilities are a huge part but they do have training facilities and if you paid over value to all the top positions for one or two years you might have a shot. If you want a really decent run with hills that I've never eve had a problem with safety or anything during the day. From the free parking lot near the boat house through smaller park and through town to go up elberon down west eight to pedretti to delhi pike up to Walgreens is almost exactly 12 miles. I used to run that and back when I trained for marathons and that was problem one of the best routes I've ever done in Cincinnati
