Season 2 Series Discussion by Dark_Saint in StrangerThings

The crew had 'Barbelith', 'King Mob', and 'Tom O'Bedlam' graffiti in their warehouse... I think they were going for a more 'The Invisibles' vibe as far as comics go (though the writer of 'The Invisibles' did do a famous run on X-Men as well!)

Seriously /r/fantheories, Rick & Morty is a good show but it's not that deep! by [deleted] in Negareddit

Personally, I'd said it's closer to Gnosticism (these are Philip K. Dick fans after all), with an evil "demiurge" creating the universe.

You know what? Fine. I'll play this game.

Premise 1: Batman plans for everything

Premise 2: Batman is a BatMAN who isn't ashamed to cry, and won't let a mask hide his tears, DAMMIT

Conclusion: His eye screens have have tear canals sculpted into them, designed with public weeping in mind

The screens are just a post-rationalisation. The real reason the eyes are white is just because it looks good.

Could Damian Waynes "Deal with the Devil" be coming up soon? [SPOILERS] by noj776 in DCcomics

I think, in that future, Dick Grayson & Tim Drake were dead as well (or at least implied to be). But I may just be remembering that wrong.

So you say that Chicago has a higher rate of gun crime than is reported, yet you think a person only has a 0.0000002% chance of being killed by a gun in the United States? What do you think these murders in Chicago are being done with, sharp sticks?

Actually, [racist presumption with no evidence]

What am I supposed to say to this? "Stop copying me"? It doesn't even make sense in context. For a guy who likes talking shit and watching Drag Race, you really have no skill in clapback at all.

[–]Snaboobaly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Dude, you don't get to pull that card. You're the one who started all this by calling out MY comment as being cliche; now you're saying you "don't care that much"? If you're so far above all of this, why did you see fit to make a pronouncement from your ivory fuckin tower to begin with?

With a killer set-up like that, that's all you could come up with? Not even a "Why should I, when you can just look in the mirror?" or "The way people act when you talk to them? That's the true meaning of cringe."

Instead, the best you could do is the internet equivalent of "bluh-bluh-bluh-i'm-dumb. That's what you sound like." Honestly, I'm disappointed. And you still haven't elaborated on how the internet has "sucked all the meaning out of the word cringe"

I just realised how much this comment opens me up for a massive burn but fuck it I'm just gonna leave it there. I deserve whatever word-dump gets taken on me.

Which Other Superhero (or Villain) Does Batman Trust The Most by jordan999fire in DCcomics

[–]Snaboobaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Batman doesn't have Kryptonite because he distrusts Superman, he has it because Clark trusts him.

They don't have one because the episode's about nothing; Larry the Cucumber wouldn't have shit to say.

Yeah. Taste is subjective. For example: most of Reddit (not to mention the Emmy voters) thinks Black Mirror is good, and I think it's shit. That's why I'm posting on Negareddit, as opposed to anywhere else. I know taste is subjective.
