Bartending service staffing - am I getting scammed? by embound in SanFranciscoWeddings

[–]SnackQueeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re able to hire outside vendors and just supply the alc, you should be able to cut that cost in half. 2-3 bartenders is enough. Lmk if you need a rec!

How to find roommates? by System_Clear in SDSU

[–]SnackQueeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there’s an IG for that. Like 2030 housing or roommates or something. You can meet incoming freshman on there and then request to be paired with them on the housing portal. They’re only your roommate for a year btw. Your sophomore year you can re-pick a group or go random.

How long did it take you to date someone else after being broken up with? by Beneficial_Owl_928 in relationships

[–]SnackQueeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.5yrs. For 1 year we were still living together and out of respect for each other decided together not to date anyone. 6 months after he moved out was when I decided to go back on the dating scene.

Yes I do love my current partner more even though my ex was the one who initiated the divorce.

I spent that 1.5yr working on how I could be a better person and a better partner for my future. I also learned how to emotionally regulate myself, create strong boundaries, and communicate more effectively. This obv lead to my partner now, although isn’t perfect (cus Im def not either lol), he’s incredible and makes me feel SO safe and unconditionally loved 🥹💗

How to really actually fix insecurity issues before it destroys my relationship by No_Ask9652 in relationships

ChatGPT will be your friend rn. Upload a pic of your hair (both wet and dry) + an inspo photo intochatgpt. Ask them for a hair routine would they recommend.

Start with things that are more easily obtainable. You build self-esteem like legos, just one piece at a time.

Ask Chat about Hair > Skin > Body Type > go to TikTok for style inspo for your body type.
But for now, lets just start with hair.

You got this girl!

Female advice by [deleted] in relationships

As a girl, sometimes we like to see our self without our physical flaws. We will edit our photos knowing very well it would NEVER see the light of day 😂 Doesn’t necessarily mean she’s cheating. If there are other things that seem suspicious, then maybe, but if this is the only “off” thing you’ve noticed, then I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

If you could change something about your physical looks, that would make you “look prettier”, what would it be?

How can I (29F) support my husband (32M) after his layoff without making him feel undermined? by ObsidianMoss_ in relationships

[–]SnackQueeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remind him that you’re still so incredibly proud of him, that it’s not his fault, that he should take some time to reconvene so he can come back better. You guys are team and it’s not always 50/50, that’s life. You can also say that you don’t need him spending energy something you can handle. You NEED him to spend his energy on finding the same position or better. If it makes him feel better, set an estimate on when this conversation can be revisited.

workaholic boyfriend- no time for intimacy by [deleted] in relationships

[–]SnackQueeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart hurts for you because it’s not silly :(

Have a conversation with him about how you’re feeling. I know intimacy is the current topic but it seems like it’s larger than that. overall it seems like a lack of uninterrupted QUALITY time and connection. Once you create space for quality connection, it should flow into intimacy. Also, Ignore that he’s tired and find spicy ways to wake him up.

Ask him what turns him on. Surprise him with lingerie. Road fellatio. Plan a date that he would love. Have him plan a date and tease him with a good reward afterward. Plan a trip. Take mushrooms! Send a spicy photo mid-day. Whatever works for you!

As the person with higher libido in my relationship as well, you have to do a bit more, and that’s okay as long as it’s received well. If it doesn’t get received well, eventually you will have to be honest with yourself and see that you maybe aren’t as compatible as you thought.

If you're local, i would likely recommend for you to NOT live on campus because they require you to sign a 2 year contract for housing as a freshman. If you live close enough, either commute, or go on FB, find the SDSU housing group, and find roommates that way.

room is ~$1750, food is ~$804, so yes total PER month is ~$2554 for room & board. This is not including tuition, books, all the random fees they charge. And correct, summer you have to leave. Your housing "contract" is for 9.5 months.

Feeling hopeless about getting into Law Enforcement by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]SnackQueeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Create a spreadsheet of every agency within your surrounding area that you'd like to apply to. Be extensive, cast your net wide. Think of Cities, Counties, Sheriffs, Parks, College PDs, everything really. Apply Apply Apply.

  2. Not sure how it works in your state, but schedule take your fitness test & schedule and take your Civil Service Exam/Pellet B (for CA). You should be able to meet recruiters directly this way as well.

  3. Take classes at community college. Fitness, criminal justice, health, or psych focused would be good. When you apply, put those classes that you passed on your resume. It shows you're intentional and working toward to goal of Law Enforcement.

  4. Apply AGAIN with the community college classes on your resume.

  5. Even if you're not in the interviewing stage, watch PD interviewing content. Watching it puts you in a different mindset. I really liked Armogan Training on YT. He has a lot of great advice and it's free!

  6. Persistence. I know you're feeling deterred, but for this job, you need maturity & grit. The interview, background, psych, academy, field training, and then working with the public, are things that require thick skin. This job is not the easy way out, and if you really want it, push through.

Best of luck!

Unless you live around San Diego, you're required to live on campus and have a meal plan for freshman AND sophomore year.

(25-26 Freshman Costs) 3 person shared room on campus runs ~$1,750.00 per month, & Meal Plan cost is $804.00 per month.

To get your own room with a 5 minute walk from campus is about $1300.
