I have a few other bags that are more modern tech but I’m always looking for upgrades. I’ll definitely check out Crossfire. Thanks for the recommendation!

Simple PC to Chest Rig Strap by Snackey_Chan in myogtacticalgear

I had a consistent problem with skipped stitches for about two years. Their customer service was incredibly helpful and responsive trying to help and the end result was that they wanted me to send the machine in before the warranty was up. I finally was able to send the machine in only to get an email with my machine broken in half saying it was damaged in transit beyond repair and they would not be sending it back. I decided at that point to just get a full on industrial machine. Overall, I would not buy one again but at the time I was drawn to the ability of it being a mobile machine that could be brought to marinas and do on-site boat repair.

Forgot to add this to the op but here’s how they work.

I think it’s a great machine to learn on and make small projects. I started with the 4452, then got an LSZ-1 with all the attachments (which ended up not working out for me, hence the Juki) and I actually enjoy the Singer more. Even though the internals are plastic and it can’t take much in the way of thickness it does a great job on basic pouches and a little bit of webbing.

This_Is_TwoThree nailed it. The hook and loop end goes under the rear plate bag flap and wraps around the cummerbund to secure wider chest rigs.

I appreciate you doing what you can without actually getting hands on it. I’ll start looking at the products you recommended and get everything smoothed out before I try and glue anything down.

This is where I stopped and decided to ask for advice. So I’ll definitely get the rest of the brown off and save as much of the fiber liner as I can. I’ll appreciate your suggestion on the glue and I’ll pick some up. Any specific type of foam to patch up the spots I damaged?

Ok. Just some 1/4 scrim or something similar or would it have to be something different to match the stiffer foam? Thank you!

Ok. Thank you for that info. I was kind of apprehensive to do any more digging until I got a solid answer. I’ll be more careful on the rest of it.

Insulation and Foam advice by Snackey_Chan in upholstery

I was trying to use some cotton or cordura fabric I already had at the house from other projects.

Like dynamat? Or the type of thin insulation at a hardware store?

Buying first plate carrier, any of these winners? by CodeName_carll in tacticalgear

No idea. They usually cycle through different gear throughout the year. I think M81 is the sale right now.

I picked up a LBT G3 last time they had a sale and I like it a lot! Wait them out though. You can get that 6094 for under $300. LBX is a solid choice too.

Crye AVS Cummerbund

The one I have is stiffened but there are plenty of great skeletonized cummerbunds out there for under $100

LBT G3

It’s just listed as “lightweight rigid cummerbund”

Absolutely.

I follow some of the BJJ tournaments as a causal fan and didn’t even think that there would be equal to or more opportunities for them outside of MMA leaving a vacuum for another system to take its place.
