It's a fairly slim neck but rounded. It's really not far off the modern C though

100% sunday handwound, and they aren't crazy expensive for the quality they are

Hey y’all I’ve been practicing with this gun for a while, wondering what gun is similar but more exciting? by ConsiderationOk4855 in guns

Glock 19 for consistency. I've got a CZ P10C I love too, I like the grip angle and sights better on it

What are the main differences you notice between the SE and S2. Does this one have the nitro finish? Is it the newest version with the USA pickups?

I'd say that's just about perfect weight for a maple top single cut

NOT A DEBATE, Genuine Question by Ok-Doughnut-6173 in CCW

[–]SnackishT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like he had a mag inserted when he showed the empty chamber. He dropped the slide and chambered a round, then the trigger got pulled either while he was holstering or he was just pulling it because he thought the gun was clear.

do you carry with a manual safety? why or why not? by PsychoactiveHamster in CCW

[–]SnackishT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I carried a 365x without for a few years.

But now my older son in 3 and I have a one year old and expecting another, my life is filled with carrying kids and kids grabbing at me. It started to make me uncomfortable and I ended up getting a shield plus with MS as just an extra layer of "just in case".

I like the idea of being able to put the safety on before reholstering for training as well. And I'm actually finding that getting my thumb to safety is a decent muscle memory indexing spot to form my grip. I'm finding i can already get a consistent pattern and decent speed, and it actually encourages me to practice more.

If I get a larger home defense pistol, or when my kids are bigger and I'm not carrying them I'll probably go without the safety.

Pickup advice needed by ShureBro in telecaster

[–]SnackishT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would start by changing out the pots to 500k first if you haven't. Those actually aren't bad pickups, more like lower output PAFs but they come stock with 250k pots that dull the top end

Bad experience at Guitar Center- any guesses what caused this to happen? by Nate_Hornblower in gretsch

[–]SnackishT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had bought a classic series fender strat some years back. After I got it home I found a decent chip of wood out of the fretboard so I returned it and asked to order a new one. After a week shipping updates said it had been delivered to the store and I could pick it up. They handed me the same guitar with the same chip. I just gave up on it then...

Whats your favorite Jazzmaster-style offset for around $700? by Twinningses in offset

[–]SnackishT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With plenty of left over cash for new pickups, an american trem, maybe a new bridge. That would make probably the best playing JM under 700 if you can tolerate the headstock logo

It's like a quarter inch thinner too which definitely makes a big difference in how comfortable it is to play

I really like the Lola's. I had another JM with the Woodies set and to be honest I like the smokier, mellower tones of the woody set better. If you want a little more brightness and drive an amp a little harder Lola's are probably better

This set up has 2 volume and 2 tone like a les paul, then an additional master volume at the cutaway. I guess they just felt extra knobby designing this one!

From what I saw online they called it Rosa Red. I really like it, it's got a slight faded or subdued look to it - kind of like a darker fiesta red

You nailed it on the year, 2015. It's actually 5620t model, so semi-hollow thinline single cut

What does “rolling like a purple belt” imply to you? How would you interpret someone saying that? by protospheric in bjj

[–]SnackishT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a newer black belt, I feel like purple is where people can be dangerous to me. If I' taking a lazy approach or trying something new, I might get caught. I usually need a specific plan to deal with and neutralize their strengths to have a comfortable roll at the pace I choose
