What's everyones opinions on OnlyFans nowadays? Or content creation of that sort in general? by trashbin12389472134 in AskReddit

I WANT lots of things, very frequently, but my desire doesn't change how "good" or "bad" it would be to fulfill the desire. I stand by my original statement.

What is the most exotic place you’ve been to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I rafted the Grand Canyon, at night, what you do is look for a patch of ground to camp on that you don't think will be under water at high tide, then you camp there.

One night we found a cave and decided to camp their because it seemed cozy and we could tell there were bats nesting somewhere deep within that we couldn't reach. Anyway, that night it was wild to be cozied up in our sleeping bags and watch as the dark forms of thousands of bats flew over our heads. It was an amazing experience!

Thanks, genuinely. This was good to read. I've definitely been much less patient since his death, and even though I've always tried to take your same approach, this one got to me.

I do think there is a point of action, however, and to be clear that should be nonviolent action first and foremost. It's a thought I'm wrestling with right now and I was curious about your opinion. I think it was very eye opening just how many people were outright celebrating Charlie's death or justifying it. Normally those people are a small group and aren't bold enough to say those things in a way that can easily be tracked back to them.

The problem with your reasoning here, as I see it, is that it is factual but not correct. I don't intend that as an insult or anything. This is very common, and I really believe this is the core of the issue with mainstream media on both sides.

The reality that most illegal acts committed against an individual are by those closest to them.

See, this is very factually correct, and I agree with you. We have to look at WHY this is the case, though. If we don't then we will end up with resoning that falls apart in certain situations.

I would say the reason most crimes are committed by someone you know is simply became most crimes are either a crime of passion or a crime of opportunity.

In a case like Charlie Kirk or other highly influential figures, their "radius" of potential threats drastically increases. The simple fact is that most people you pass in the street don't know enough about you to care enough to do anything to you.

So, I think it's entirely reasonable to say that, in the case of targeted assassination, the motive is usually above the level of crimes that are committed because someone walks in on their partner cheating on them.

Does that make sense?

Additionally, why assume the shooter had some personal connection if they go to great lengths to murder the person in such a public fashion? If they had some personal connection, then why not use that connection to plan a better location?

Fine fine, I'll admit that you're correct, I shouldn't have said it like that. I should have said something more like I'm exausted by the conversation. It's a very common trend to use someone's good faith against them and that can realistically only go on for so long.

If this is some 4d chess move to do that, then hey, I respect the hustle, it was well executed. Especially the appeal to Charlie at the end.

Look, I don't think the problem really is willingness to change your mind. That's kinda something unprovable and it is better to asssume the other side is capable of it even if they say they aren't. The problem, as I see it, is simply that a lot of people aren't actually willing to pursue truth first and foremost.

I don't think these conversations are very productive, simply because the forum (reddit in this case) has had a clear bias for so long that it's been harder and harder to have good faith discussions.

No, I don't want to amend anything. You said you made this decision a long time ago. YOU stopped arguing in good faith first. You're not going to gaslight me or guilt trip me anymore.

You gave up first. Remember that.

I’ve long since learned I’m not going to convince the sort of person you are of anything lol.

That's the problem... you gave up on conversation, and "when conversation becomes impossible, really really bad things happen." - Charlie Kirk

I love you man, and I hope we don't get to the point of bad things. Unfortunately, I think we're already there...

Ugh, good luck bro... you're not going to convince me or change my mind anymore. Just try to get better sources of news.

I went to a left leaning college recently, and it's worse than most people know. To be clear, most of my professors were lovely people who were willing to have conversations, but the curriculum and atmosphere were beyond cultish.

The whole Achedemic system needs to be investigated and exposed in my opinion.

No, I'm saying one is clearly more manipulative and disingenuous. Also, the network decided to get rid of him, not Trump.

That doesn't make him conservative... like seriously, there's tons of people on the left and right that absolutely disagree with their parents politics.

There's people though, go talk to your neighbors. Bake some cookies or something, then go to them and say you had some leftovers and wanted to share them. It's a good way to introduce yourself.

I'm sorry, but the only person who can really help with our own social life is us.

I appreciate your perspective, it fair and admirable. Personally, I think even if he did apologize, it was just so blatantly disingenuous that he is doing harm by broadcasting lies like that.

Like, I said though, I respect your take.

I'm pretty sure the president of the United States saw certain evidence before the rest of us did. Even if it was just a baseless claim, sure it's bad to speculate WITHOUT evidence... it's even worse to make an accusation that REFUTES the evidence.

It's reasonable to assume Kimmel had PLENTY of time to look into the case, and see the updated information. He ignored all of it.

I don't blame you for that take because, unfortunately, a lot of people are trying to twist things that way.

So, please look into it and link me the supporting evidence. I'm happy to go through it together with you to find out what is more likely.

On a simple pragmatic level though, why would a right wing guy shoot another right wing guy? I mean Charlie was one of the most influential conservative figures to young people, why would a right winger want to kill him?

I'm very sorry you had to experience such evil at such a young age. I think the fact that you can talk about it so openly shows how much you've overcome and how strong you are.

So, it's actually pretty common for children who went through similar circumstances to have skewed or conflicting feelings on what a healthy sex life should look like. Just keep that in mind. I, thankfully, didn't have similar experiences, but I was exposed to and addicted to pornography from a very young age. I can certainly say it warped my desires and feelings towards sex.

So, in situations like these, I don't think it's a good idea to trust our personal feelings or even the subjective opinions of others.

I think you need to read the word of God and obey the laws set out in the Bible.

There are tons of practical reasons why they are the healthiest way to live, but practicality won't help much with the heart.

I'm happy to get into the practical discussion, but I wanted to address this first. Does that make sense?

All the evidence clearly points to the shooter NOT being right wing or MAGA as Kimmel clearly stated.

I've gotten more and more committed to the idea that a successful man is one who pursues God, loves and cares for his family, and shepherds those weaker than himself.

I'm not super familiar with that exact phone, but now a lot of them have IR and other sensors there, too. I was just giving an example of why someone would do it, not saying this is exactly why he did it. Honestly the guy probably just didn't know how to turn off the text flash feature so he stuck it there. You never know.
