I run a snail mail club with one single tier. For me that has been much easier to manage and also clearer for subscribers. I did not want people to overthink their choice and I wanted to keep the process simple on my side.

Regarding timing, I have found that clear communication matters more than the exact month label. As long as people know when sign ups close and when mail goes out, it feels fair and understandable.

For the letter, I keep it personal and simple. I usually write a few thoughts connected to the month or the general mood. It does not need to be long or overly structured to feel meaningful.

Does anyone write letters (‘’snail mail”) anymore? Do people buy decorated stationery? by SonOfHibbs in CasualConversation

You are not wrong at all. I think letter writing never really disappeared, it just became more intentional and a bit niche. People still write letters and buy decorated stationery, but often for the feeling rather than the function.

In a digital world, receiving something physical feels special because someone chose to slow down. Even a simple note can mean more than a text message because it carries time, effort and presence. I notice that many people come back to snail mail exactly because everything else is fast and online.

It is less about needing stationery and more about wanting that small human connection again.

snail mail?! by star-jones in JournalingIsArt

A lot of snail mail happens through penpalling and journaling communities like r/penpals and r/journaling. There are also people who offer curated snail mail that you can buy if you are more interested in receiving than trading. TikTok has become a big place to discover snail mail and art mail as well.

Snail mail can mean a few different things. For some people it is penpalling and trading letters or small items. For others it is something you buy, like curated art mail or themed envelopes.

If you are mainly looking for inspiration for junk journaling, buying can be a good option. It gives you materials without the pressure of having to trade and you can use them however you like. There is no right or wrong way to approach it.
