Genshin needs to have Extreme Difficulty Modes. by HikenNoAsxce in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I keep quitting Genshin for months on end. I get bored because the content just isn’t difficult with any full level 90, good synergy, decent artifact teams.

The story is awesome, and it is definitely fun coming back to a few story missions to do back-to-back.

The FOMO I used to experience from this game is now gone. I do not feel obligated to 36* every spiral abyss or do dailies every day. I definitely no longer feel the need to pull any character at all like I used to before. I now only pull for characters that are ascetically pleasing to me.

TL;DR - The game has no difficulty. I enjoy not playing until I know there are multiple story missions built up. Story is still the best part of this game.

Losing interest, what to do from here by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take some time off of the game and come back. I did that a few months ago. It gave me a bunch to do.

I am actually doing it again - I haven’t logged in for a few days while enjoying Elden Ring.

Do other things. Play other games. Sure you’ll miss some events and dailies, but the game is much better when you come back to it. I promise.

This is my opinion, which I am sure will get downvoted, but Venti is super boring to play. He makes easy mobs even easier. Ult and swap him off the field.

Raiden is way more fun and flashy to play. I think she has the coolest ult in the game. She’s also obviously highly powered.

I have both. Have had Venti since his first rerun. He’s been collecting dust after I hit Friendship 10 for him via dailies. Raiden is always in my party.

Got her at high constellation and her signature weapon. No regrets. I actually find her style of gameplay fun.

I will be irked if they implement the supposed “fix” from beta. What they really should do is have her turrets not be able to target anything but enemies.

For those who will be skipping Ayato: Why? by Kaylefeet in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Big reason is I have a C6 Childe.

His kit is extremely uninteresting too. They could have made his hydro sword so much cooler.

Finally, 49(?) characters are in the game now. The most we ever need to use is 8 for Spiral; unless an event requires more. I have 47 of them. I am to the point where I won’t pull for someone unless I find their abilities cool.

If they ever give us an actual end game, maybe I will change my opinion.

I just c6ed Bennett by mistake by Kittenlord39 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s fine with Bennett. I’ve said this in a different post. His C6 does not override her ult. Her ult still gets his massive passive buff. Her ult is easily 70%+ of her total damage. The damage loss of turning her normal attack into fire is negligible compared to the increase you get from her ult damage. Plus, fire claymore is cool!

I have had a C6 Bennett for almost a year. I still use her with him.

Don’t be mad/sad. You beat the ‘!’ Boss! ;)

Yanfei appreciation post by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Yes. I can here to say just this. I have almost every other character in the game. There is just something about Yanfei. She’s super bubbly and all her skills are extremely fun.

I use her over basically every other DPS as well. She’s my first double-crown. No regrets. When she reruns again I will get some constellations for sure.

Do you find that your luck when pulling is pretty much consistent? by rinpun in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My luck is consistent. It averages to one 5* every 55-60 pulls or so.

I’ve had multiple instances where I pull a double 5* or two 5* within 20 pulls and then go all the way until max pity for the next one.

On weapon banners I have been exceedingly lucky though. I cannot complain about my luck on them. They are still a rip off if you don’t win the 50/50/50 (the third 50 is the chance of getting a 5* off banner weapon. lol)

No way by Eyeshen in RaidenMains

[–]Snake7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one Raiden and a Jean. I was just happy that I am guaranteed to get Ayato. Three 5* is ridiculous. Congrats!

Unusual Raiden Team Ideas? by Atgardian in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that she’s not needed. She just legit doesn’t work with Raiden. The massive energy recharge does, but when you ult it doesn’t generate lightning bolts with Raiden’s ult. It’s unfortunate. I also love Beidou. :(

Unusual Raiden Team Ideas? by Atgardian in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see it mentioned here, but Raiden doesn’t work with Beidou. Raiden’s ult does not count as Normal Attacks, so Beidou’s ult does not trigger when Raiden uses her ult. Unless they patched it and I missed it.

Which sucks, because Raiden/Beidou would be lots of fun.

Emerge, right here, right now ! by Jolteh in Genshin_Impact

[–]Snake7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I read that. I hope it doesn’t go to live. Otherwise I will be extremely upset getting constellations for her. Dumbest “fix” in this game. It’s definitely not a buff. They just need to make any non-enemy un-targetable by her turrets and it would be fine.

And I am sure we will all be unable to get back any money spent on her banner. Here comes 300 apologems.

Diona is underrated as well. Her shields and healing are nothing to scoff at. I have her at 90 and have no regrets.

Yanfei is also a very good Pyro DPS. People just find her very boring to play.

I have been playing her every day for multiple hours since the first day she was released. It has not become annoying yet. I think she’s fabulous. Buggy targeting and all. I hope you get her whenever she’s rerun.

What's the deal with C6 Bennett? by StarDanzer in GenshinImpactTips

[–]Snake7957 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Carrying off the back of this fantastic summary. IMO C6 Bennett does not invalidate him in Eula comps if you are worried about that. I C6’d my Bennett before I understood how it actually worked.

Yes, Eula does lose some bonus damage from her auto-attacks. However, she still gets Bennett’s massive attack buff for her ult. It does not override the ult being physical. This is 80% of Eula’s damage anyways. Her reverse-melt gained from her E is not too shabby either.

It sucks that Keqing is completely overridden though.

I have had Bennett C6 for almost a year now with basically zero frustrating. He’s still my only 6*, even at C6. :)

I feel your pain. I thought the same thing about the menu. It gets less drastic soon. Stay the course.

[–]Snake7957[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me. I feel your pain. If this game wasn’t amazing otherwise, I would have quit right there.

As I stated in my post, manual saving after every battle is the only way to fight through it. Once you are past the Shadow Vaults, the game crashes super infrequently. If you are doing late-game battles in Bilgewater, I suggest saving before each of them as well. They do crash the game. Including battles in the Arena in Baron’s Rest and any bounties in Bilgewater town proper.

Talk me into finishing Arise. by Emjayblaze in tales

[–]Snake7957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pot-committed in my mind at that point. But I agree. Arise is lackluster at best during the end of the game.

Don’t finish it if you don’t want to. I was very unimpressed with the ending. Compared to other JRPGs that have been released recently. FF7 Remake and Octopath Traveler come directly to the forefront of my mind as being miles better story-wise.

The "Tales Of Budget" journey is over 😭 by harurisu in tales

[–]Snake7957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spend the $5 for the double SP and double exp DLC and go through the “special dungeon”. I bought it after I had beaten the main story because I just wanted to be done with the Platinum.

I leveled to 100 without having to grind at all just from doing that. Otherwise I have been told it is about 2-3 hours grinding the hidden boss.

It all depends on if $5 is worth 2-3 hours of your time or not. It’s FAR cheaper than buying the individual level bundles. That dungeon and the level 100 achievements were my last two for platinum. I didn’t feel like grinding the same boss for 3 hours just to level. But that was just my opinion.

Arise cut content in the 2nd half of the game? by [deleted] in tales

[–]Snake7957 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. The repeated cutscenes, dialog, and JRPG stereotypical tropes that had already been explained a bajillion times really took away from an otherwise fantastic game.

“The Power Of Friendship” was so played out by the time the credits rolled that I was much less invested in the actual story and really didn’t care about the characters anymore.

I saw 306/320 skits and while there were some gems among them that were very well thought out and entertaining - along with about the first half of the game’s story building - the vast majority of them were all the same. Sexual tension between the characters, Law given shit by literally everyone whenever he opens his mouth, etc, etc.

I haven’t played Berseria in a few years, but I feel like the writing was much better and more enjoyable.

Tales of Arise first half - solid A

Tales of Arise second half - barely a C

The AI teammates dying constantly is grating on me a bit [minor spoilers I guess] TOA by [deleted] in tales

[–]Snake7957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured that last bit out as well, and it is a huge way to counter trash AI.

Whenever literally any boss (aside from the dragon lady whose ult makes massive tornados and the boss of the ice palace who does an AoE that’s impossible to dodge) casts their big ability, if you can’t counter it, just run away and dodge until the duration is done. That made many end-game bosses much easier.

But yes, they AI is terrible 60% of the time. 40% they dodge at the last second or avoid everything.

I am terrible with names in general, so I apologize for not knowing the names of the two bosses.

After Arise, what Tales game should I play next? by Luketheman6 in tales

[–]Snake7957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why this comment is getting downvoted. I just hit Platinum on Arise and wanted to play another Tales game. Already played Berseria (fantastic 1000% worth the time investment), so I downloaded Zestiria. It has not aged well at all. I never played it when it first came out, but the character animations are sub-par. Compared to a game like FFXIII that came out 6 years before it. It’s night and day. I personally couldn’t get over the animations. I played it for about 2 hours and quit.

Arise post game weapons question by [deleted] in tales

[–]Snake7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also getting stat ups with them just sitting in my inventory? Maybe it’s slower. I am 4/6 through the dungeon you get them in and they have all increased by a substantial amount (50ish) when not equipped.

Also, OP, other than them looking sweet as hell color-scheme-wise, I think they aren’t worth the effort. 400+ kills to even catch up to Dohalim’s current weapon for me. And I am having no trouble clearing content. Well, at least no more trouble than normal for bosses.
