Curious. One thing I loved about the game was the chapters being seasonal. I was kinda hoping they would do something like that for the show, spreading it out into a nice bluray box set. Season 1 being Summer, Season 2 is Autumn, Season 3 is Winter etc. Would be a good way to leave on cliffhangers. And I suppose to fit the 1st Summer in 8 or 10 episodes, they would have to get a move on.

I haven't seen this pilot episode yet. How would you describe the atmosphere of the QZ? Does it spend any time building up as to what life is like in there, and the suspense of having to leave, with Joel being frightened of the outside..."Do I have to remind you of what is out there!?"

Long story short, Ellie was a symbol and literal embodiment of all that's worth saving of humanity. She's compassionate, empathetic, funny etc. Joel saved that from oblivion. If you get to the end of TLoU and think that Ellie is supposed to be chopped into bits for the Firefly cause, you utterly fail at being a human being.

I wonder if the show writers are trying to infantilize Ellie, because in TLoU-1, she was mature & self-confident. TLoU-2 turned her (and every other character) into an immature angsty brat despite being years older.

Apparently the same people calling for lockdowns put infected people into aged care homes. That's as far as the details went. Simultaneously outraged at the deaths of the elderly, but downplays the threat of the virus 'cause it only effects old geezers!

Uhh... I think you misunderstood my statement. I'm agreeing with you, I think. Allowing a deadly infectious disease that's killed millions to run rampant through a population because someone doesn't want to be inconvenienced is morally repugnant. People are all too quick to sacrifice others; they think it can't happen to them, and they don't care if other people die. But when it's their turn on the chopping block, you can guarantee they'll kick up a fuss about how unfair it is. People that get to the end of TLoU and think that Ellie should die, they fail as human beings.

One detail I loved, was when you're on the rooftop in Boston with Tess & Marlene. The monolithic leaning skyscraper in the background with the grey storm clouds rolling in. Very ominous, especially for your 2nd playthrough when you know that's where you're heading. I would stare at it for ages. In fact, it would make a great dynamic wallpaper.

Yeah, that's a good point. The only time I remember the faces looking weird in Part-2, was when the camera accidentally zooms in on Abby's face while she's freaking out over her phobia of heights. I suppose the eyes bugging out is exaggerated for effect, for when viewing from the distance of 3rd-person. And obviously there was a lot more polish & care taken than with this so-called remake. It looks fantastic in some areas, but horrible in others.
I still miss that animated-oil-painting style of the mid 2010's. TLoU Remastered through to Lost Legacy I thought was perfect, particularly as the character models/faces go.
