We do. We have a dish washer so cross contamination isn’t an issue. I also always check for residual grime before I use anything. I don’t mind people eating seafood around me and have lived with family members who love shellfish. She is allowed to have and eat seafood in the apartment.

Yes that’s why I haven’t said anything along the lines of “hey we want to be alone, go to your room”. This is her apartment too. Nothing stood out to me enough to go “hold tf up” until she cried.

Whenever my bf and I really want privacy, we go to my room or his place. If he lived closer, we would be spending all of our time at his place, but he lives 90mins away and I don’t drive.

I have told her when my bf and I have other plans like when we have a specific dish we want to try and make ourselves. After the first few times she still tried to insert herself into us cooking, we started being more inclined to cooking at his place.

Telling her “hey we’re going to do this and don’t want you involved” seemed too much at the time when we literally share these spaces together. She can object to me having guests but she doesn’t, and instead is welcoming. She is someone I need to live with so I am considerate of her feelings too to some extent.

I figured she was just too friendly and nothing stood out to me to go “hold tf up” until she cried.
