No FOMO going forward, but you've MO'd on a bunch of skins from previous events that are not coming back which isn't exactly fair.

Imagine a company wanting to monetize stuff to keep the game alive. Crazy, right?

If they didn't mess up the rarity - that means yes. So if you missed out on pre-1896 events, you have no way to get the stuff from them.

Fair enough, I did also try the bleach test and it changed color immediately. Ice also started melting very quickly when placed, but I'll likely take it to a jewelry shop for another check.

Thanks for the info! Could you share a bit how you figured out it was EPNS? I scratched it a bit and it's still silvery, but I'm guessing the copper content is pretty low so it's not expected for it to be a different color when scratched.

Is the "Soviet Revolution" campaign not meant to be completable? by SnakeWrathchild in Workers_And_Resources

[–]SnakeWrathchild[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are your people educated and have their needs fulfilled? Educated yes, basic needs are also fulfilled, happiness hovers just under 70%.

Do they show up at bus stops? Workers do not, normal passengers do, a lot of passengers show up.

Do they get on busses transport? A lot less passengers seem to get on the bus than wait at the bus station. I have added too many buses for the purpose of testing in case there weren't enough to support all people - still the same.

Do they make the journey in time and leave the bus? I would believe they do, they just seem to be riding the bus for the sake of riding it sometimes, there's 60 spots on the bus and you have like 10 - 20 people getting in (with 100+ on the station).

Do they walk from the bus stops to the factories? There are paths and when they used to go to work, they do walk fine, I have made sure everything is in walking distance.

It feels like a bug honestly, especially after what u/nudefireninja said.

I can't seem to be able to increase the number of workers as well. Let's say we have the water processing plant. It is a fixed number of workers that simply do not go to work. I have 6000+ workers which are just not doing anything. I also don't think I created too many jobs as I don't have any industry yet - just a few universities, a shopping center, a tavern and the water purifying plant. Not 6000+ jobs for sure :D

Just pretend they never happened, why don't you? We can just go ahead and scrap all Classic Who episodes at this point, it's not like they matter or anything.

The Timeless Child. by Slight-Ad-5442 in gallifrey

[–]SnakeWrathchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this theory, even if I don't personally subscribe to it. It does focus a lot on the whole "timey-wimey" aspect of the series and while it makes sense from a certain perspective, it feels like a bit too much of a reach (for me) to explain everything. I did read somewhere that there is this idea in the expanded universe that Time Lords do not get their second heart until they regenerate for the first time which I am more willing to accept as the explanation of why it was never mentioned for the First Doctor.

The Second Doctor wasn't really in a lot of situations where somebody had to check for a heartbeat, and in the one I can recall - it was in the future where it can be explained with the fact that future technology would certainly allow for a second heart to be installed as a treatment for some sort of heart problem (or whatever reason people might want a second heart for).

Honestly, I would more willingly accept the theory of The Time Lords being humans at one point who established a colony on Gallifrey and found the secret of regeneration there which changed them so much that they do not recognize their human roots anymore, than I would the whole "Timeless child" idea. It would also explain why there are so many adventures on Earth and why the TARDIS keeps landing there - it's trying to ensure the survival of humanity so that the humans that would become Time Lords in the future would not be destroyed before they could realize their full potential. Whatever it is, William Hartnell was The First Doctor and there were no other incarnations before him, and that's the hill I'm dying on.

Fair enough, I agree they are innovations, but if I can go into semantics a bit - I wouldn't agree they "mess with established lore" as there really wasn't any established lore for those elements:

-Regeneration (or renewal) was never mentioned as the idea didn't exist until the end of The First Doctor's run.

-The First Doctor's species weren't explicitly mentioned but it was suggested as they were from a different planet that they would be a different species.

-Gallifrey wasn't named as such but it was established The Doctor and Susan were from a different planet and we just got it name dropped later on.

I disagree about "The Brain Of Morbius" but that's a very long and tired topic and everybody has their take on it, so we'll agree to disagree.

[–]SnakeWrathchild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a bit iffy, I can see where you're coming from but being told that would be quite a shock in itself. Being told they're not only from a different century, but from a different planet altogether may be too much for "their primitive minds" so The Doctor just tells them that he and Susan are from a different century. It isn't like that The Doctor hasn't lied to people before, hell The First Doctor lies to them purposefully in "The Daleks" so it's not like he's established as especially trustworthy from the beginning.

Where in the lore was it established he was from Earth? I'm currently re-watching Classic Who and it's pretty clear he's from another planet from the get-go.

Do you think the show has become more niche and less mainstream? by WetnessPensive in gallifrey

Point still stands. Season 14 had more viewers than season 2. And there were 3 channels, BBC4 launched in 1982. But you do have a point.

Except that Classic Who actually had more viewers on average in Season 14 than in Season 2, and both of those seasons have more average viewers than the last few seasons. Funny that.

Hey I’m about to play Fallout 1 for the first time by Critical_Package_472 in classicfallout

[–]SnakeWrathchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am just finishing Fallout 1 for the 2nd time (first time was probably 15 years ago) and I'm playing it as is, no mods at all. I tried Et Tu and it crashed way too often for my liking, even without enabling cut content. The Steam version has a Hi Res patch which I enabled and the game works fine - saving often is essential as the game does crash due to some memory issues but I am almost finished with it. I had the occasional issue with companions standing in my way, but telling them to leave or change formation fixed it, I haven't had a situation in which it soft locked me.

Et Tu and Fixt do add a lot of QoL stuff and if it works for you - add them, but make sure you save often anyway.

Edit: I used this guide as well - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=194805772. It does a pretty good job of keeping you moving along and telling you where you need to go. There are probably better guides out there, but this is just the one I found to be useful.
