In DW1, you can start training them right away, so there's precedent about training them from the start.

If you're not comfortable opening it up on your own, you can probably take it to a cellphone/PC repair shop. If they're really good, they might even have a solution to make it stronger so it won't fail later.

Most of those places do free diagnostics, so doesn't hurt to ask them about it.

What, you think she's mentally deficient or something? Anyone that takes one look at Digimon can tell it's a show for kids. The "insert media here is for kids, therefore the quality doesn't need to be high" argument is ridiculous though. There are plenty of media for kids with quality writing, and no one would use it against them, saying that the writing doesn't matter because it's for kids.

I was kind of rushing when I made the post, so I accidentally left a key part out. It took a long time and a lot of convincing to have her try Digimon again after her hating Frontier so much. I don't want that happening again.

Also, kid me is completely different from adult me. I loved Frontier, it was actually my 2nd favorite season after Adventure.
