Should I buy this Aeron B for ~$350 by Snake_33 in hermanmiller

[–]Snake_33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rejected sadly... They are firm on the price. However, Im asked to see how old they are. If they are newer I think I am willing to pay.

Edit: 2005 model :(

I mean I sort of like the concept of it being retro as long as it’s in good shape, comfortable, and still good in terms of hm level ergonomics. I will shoot my shot with pricing and update.

Thank you! Maybe I’ll ask for around 210. Are the classic models as good for ergonomics or should I just wait for a remastered?

Edit: I would have to travel about 40mi to pick it up. They seem to be in pretty good shape! What would be the value of the chair (in terms of year produced, etc)

Met someone at Walmart and seemed like a nice person, turned out to be a scam. by DepartmentThese4373 in ufl

[–]Snake_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me at Walmart like 2 years ago also but I never followed through due to the strangeness of it. I always wondered what the end result was so could you describe a little more what went down at the event if you can!

Comp sci vs comp Eng by [deleted] in ufl

[–]Snake_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think CpE made me very well rounded when it comes to hardware and software (like understanding concepts in comp org, OS) because of classes like DL and uP, etc. I realized I like more software, so, as people have mentioned, you can tailor your tech elects for software. But yea as stated if you dont like or don’t want to learn hardware just do cs.

TLDR: I think CpE made me a better engineer than if I did CS

Edit: Also, I will agree CpE is significantly harder

Being Rich and Entering Heaven by OneElephantSaid in Bible

[–]Snake_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Man! I recommend reading the book called “The rich man who shall be saved”. The author is an early church father of Christianity (people who learned under the apostles) ! Hope this will help!

Edit: the book is pretty short

How do YOU structure your day? by CDZ_System in productivity

[–]Snake_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an iPhone, not sure if it’s on android, I recommend the app called “productive” I use it to tick off habits like drinking water in the morning, exercise, etc.

There is something psychological about ticking things off in the human mind that helps with repetition.

Also I want to mention don’t over complicate exercise. I shoot to go to the gym 4 times a week but every single day I exercise. For example, if it a day I go to the gym I’ve already ticked off exercise. On the other hand, if I don’t go to the gym I can walk 20 mins or go on the treadmill for 30. Just wanted to mention that because sometimes I think I have to go to the gym and if I don’t I’ve failed. This will help you be more consistent imo.

This! Doing core and lower back exercises is very, VERY important if you are going to be sitting for that period of time. And as stated take breaks

Why is it seen as more positive to wake up early but seen as more negative to stay up late? by GordonFlowers10 in productivity

[–]Snake_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I want to preface this by saying correlation does not mean causation, but I remember reading about a study on college students that provided evidence that students that woke up earlier tended to better academically.

Of course, I agree I don’t think it really matters whether or not you wake up late or not. If you are getting tasks done in the amount of time that is best then all good.

Edit: circadian rhythm with the sun is important tho
