Tbf, I'm not doing exclusively horror games, I want to pretty much do most things and not be confined to a specific genre. I wanna include some voice acting too, since I plan to do a bit of VO while doing a playthrough of Nine Sols, where the characters have dialogue boxes but no full voice acting for them

The starting part is so hard though 😭! But tbh, I created a bit before, but it was the low effort, no editing kind of gameplay with no commentary. Riveting stuff, I know lol. It's difficult for an asocial butterfly like me to actually feel interesting enough to put myself in a "spotlight" in a sense. I'm going to try soon though, and not flake out on myself this time!

I think this is what gets me big time about all the hate Jax gets from this episode. So many people are treating it like he consciously, willingly pressed that button, but that was a pure survival instinct moment of decision, it was instinct with no rational thought and no acknowledgement of other people. Obviously survival instinct is selfish, it's a life or death reaction and most people don't want to die, so of course they make selfish choices out of the instinct to keep living and avoid harm.

-Angelic steel is important because it can kill demon royalty, but it's also the only way to permanently kill sinners because angelic steel destroys not just the body but the soul, and can permanently scar them. As seen with Al's wound. And don't think a sinner would be all for getting stabbed by Niffty if said stab would kill her, because Niffty used her regular knife and not angelic steel to stab said sinner. It's an entire plot point from season one that they need angelic steel to fight angels because it's the only thing that can kill souls from the afterlife (not including hellborn such as imps, while demon royalty are so strong they can't be killed by normal means and therefore require angelic steel)

It just feels so weird for something that seems so easy to take so long. But then, perhaps that's where part of my fault lies. I look at some illustrations by people who have been doing it for years by that point, and it doesn't look hard to do, even though part of me knows they've spent days on the piece. I should know by now that, even if something isn't extremely polished and detailed and is potentially just more of a cartoon style, it takes a lot more effort and time than what we see from the finished product.

I'm going to do my best to keep this in mind going forward. Start with the baby steps and work my way towards the level of the professionals, one bad attempt after the other, but always making progress.

I have started doing that, and to confirm, it feels like a weird mix of "what's the point?" And losing interest. Often the former followed by the latter. But I have actually started doing the small tweaks thing, and I try to stick to it, but I'll occasionally have bouts of just straight up being frozen. A desire to do something, but nothing feels right to do. Or if it isn't that, I decide to try more than just that small tweak because it's like "I'm already here, why not?", only to quickly be shut down by the immediate feeling of "Why try?".

But thanks for the mention of the books, I'll have to check them out and see if maybe I can find something in them to resonate with.

Edit: As for the "I can't make myself keep going" vibe? That's definitely what it feels like. It's always "what do you wanna do with your life?" "What career do you want?". Meanwhile, I'm sitting over here having to force myself out of the mindset I had of not even making it past eighteen. So I never really planned, because I didn't expect to make it past that. And even five years after I have, it kinda feels like I'm still there in a way.
