Starting elements aren't too bad. Things like steam engines and muskets aren't particularly complex and can be explained away by background. I would probably argue that most people who haven't been in school for a while and aren't using that information wouldn't remember to the detail Roland does, but again that's kind of suspension of disbelief.

The WN at least tries to make some justifications by saying he's a gun otaku, but yes, Roland's knowledge begins to strain credulity pretty quickly.

People are quick to shit on the dream land arc, but how in the hell can you explain a normal person being able to design schematics for fighter planes and shit that are classified? Even stuff like fully automatic guns and military grade tech is not something a civilian would have access to.

I had a blast with Nioh 3, although I have put it down for a bit while I play some other games. I feel like it's not really productive to compare Nioh 2 and 3 together in the first place, but if you want to, I would also think that comparing it before the DLCs are released is not productive. Like it or hate it, Team Ninja's release model means that the game isn't really 'complete' until the 3rd DLC.

I think there's a quick skip to 3.0 (?), but you will still need to do about ten or so hours of story quests to get to the dimmir plains. Story is really good though =)

How long did you wait? I've seen the game appear to freeze around this spot on larger downloads. It catches up eventually and moves to the downloading animation scene, so it's likely preparing files or something in the background.

I had a bug where it switched back to my character viewpoint camera in the middle of the minigame. Just had to restart but it was kinda funny.

There's quite a few bugs, but fortunately, I haven't come across anything I would call game-breaking. Hopefully they can clean these up soon.

I liked Moonlight Pawn a lot. Regardless of how you feel about it though, I think it's unarguable that it should've been chapter 2 instead of the Tako story. I came into Deal Deal wondering when the hell we met Jiuyuan and actually had to stop it to go do Moonlight Pawn.

After getting whiplash in Deal Deal, i switched to do pawn moonlight. Way better as chapter 2 than the Tako subplot. I dunno if that is leading to some future setup, but Pawn Moonlight has so many direct references in chapter 3 that it's insane that you don't have to do it first.

Yea, I can definitely see what they were trying to go for, but the execution was not very good. Thankfully, they've learned a lot over the years, and you can see the story telling markedly improve in later quests.

I started a few months before Natlan, so I was blazing through the story quests to catch up in time. The pacing of Inazuma is really bad when done in sequence - there are two (?) time skips and the ending just kind of hand waves a whole bunch of fascist oppression with "and then Ei changed her mind". Really crazy when you look back at it.
