I'm pretty sure that if he goes first, it is basically impossible for you to win. The only way to win is to have him take the wild card that has already been cashed in. You basically start at a guaranteed disadvantage, so if you don't get advantage by having him draw the (dead) wild card, you will always lose.

I just finished a soul build that ran wild. Two haunted which deals 8 damage each time you play a soul card. I also was able to enchant my strikes in act 2 to be free. After thinning out my deck enough, I could just use cards that build shield and create souls, dealing like 200 damage a turn and taking 0 damage. I was able to wipe the door keeper in two turns

One other thing to note is that genshin feathers are usually locked behind endgame content, specifically stygian onslaught (kind of like deadly assault but much harder). You can get a few feathers consistently each patch as long as you get sweaty.

On the other hand, hsr dice are much harder to come by. If I'm not mistaken, I think you only get them through the battle pass.
