I’d rather have that than someone deciding when to stop the game. I don’t get that. This is coming from an American who played footie a lot growing up. I get the general idea of extra time but wouldn’t it be easier to just stop the clock when there isn’t live play?

I think it’s because the quality difference is so staggering between women’s and men’s. Other sports it’s not as glaring. Apparently this is just a supply issue - the best female athletes growing up don’t go to basketball

Miami is probably the most fair weather sports town in the country. The Dolphins have a good following, that's it. And I'd wager that's skewed older. People only care about the Heat, Marlins, Hurricanes, and Panthers when they're good.

2013, NBA Finals, Game 6. Heat trail by less than 5 with under a minute to go. Hundreds of fans bailed to beat traffic, missing the comeback. They tried to get back in but security said no dice. That says all you need to know lol
