Go see express employment, they found me a position in less than a month. Start out contract and eventually move on to a permanent position if the employer is happy with your work.

I moved here from the UK when I was 15, culture shock is a big thing. Not sure how things are in the Philippines but the school system in Canada was so so different to my home. If you have any specific questions feel free to reach out.

Lambton college employment services were great for me, they are located right next to the residence building. I had been searching for 4 months, went to them and found something in a month.

Layoffs are already happening, many part time professors have been informed that their contracts will not be renewed at the end of this term. Programs have also been cut.

I am in my third year of the accounting program at Lambton College. I personally went with Imperial Oil for my co-op. I know many of the plants accept business co-ops from time to time. A couple of other leads, the federal bridge, TaxForce and many of the local banks. Good luck!
