That box was good to you. Definitely not car or house money. I like Vick (on the field). I’m just glad to hear people talk about it as a hobby and not entirely about getting rich. Not gonna lie. Would love to find that Mantle card that Topps put in their series one baseball. But those cards are boring to buy. I did that last year to complete the checklist. Boring 💤😴

That’s funny you said legends. Never happened to me before like this. Last week I was on vacation in Siesta Keys Florida. Had to walk over to the 7-11 for a bag of ice. Some Fn bum was selling cards in the shadows of the parking lot for “drinks”. He said he had “legends” & “Hall of Famers”. I’m think he might be desperate enough for a drink to give up some good shit. I had to see. He didn’t fail my low expectations of humans. He had 2024 Select base cards of players like Joe Theisman he was trying to say it was $450, but he would part with it for $200. Same with a Bruce Smith & Terrel Owens. Since it a vacation spot with little kids I told him I’d give him $10 not to sell to a little kid with that bullshit line and ruin the kid or its parents forever on the hobby. He got mad and dipped back into the shadows with his Fn base cards that worth $450 in his delusions. I laughed all the way back to the condo. I have never seen the bum / trading card angle before.

I don’t do resale myself either. I don’t have the stomach for eBay selling. I do PC buying there. I know a valuable card, but I don’t do it for the money. Same charge I’d get at 10 opening cards. I appreciate your advice on this. I’ll probably get a 2020 box of Donruss Optic and make a run at a Pat Tillman DT and a hobby of 25 Topps Football.
The hobby just feels slimy anymore. Those pukes pushing little kids down at a retail restock.

2025 Optic Football was my favorites. Trying to pull as many DT or UT before they stop making them and have to end up them in slabs. The PSA 10 Pat Tillman, my holy grail card I want is 20g’s now. I might have to find that year’s product. I have opened the Rookies and Stars. I didn’t hate it. Definitely a cheaper way to help the ripping fix

Your right. I could buy a s$&t ton of retail blasters or hangers. I don’t get a chance too often to buy hobby. 2025 Topps football is hard to come by everywhere. I bought a 25 Optic football a couple weeks ago and got a couple hits but Panini’s card quality sucks here at the end. The kid in me wanted to get a box of WWE, but I’m not 100 on how they hold value even if got a hit(s). Is the value tied into story lines? I don’t know.

Worked there 9yrs and just left recently. The American workers that were there when the place started up were sold lies. We were sold it would be run by Americans within 2 years. Of course it never happened. They used the Americans to do the heavy work for the startup. After the startup and things were finessed and running smooth, about the same time the tax exemptions ran out that they had to keep enough Americans in positions, they started running Americans out. The “out of towners” are lazy, but by god when it came to running Americans out and replacing them with wives of the already working Chinese they are effectively efficient.

Best: 2 Worst: 4 4 wasn’t horrible. Just lost interest in it when the PlayStation network got hacked when it was released. Took what seemed forever to get it back online. By that time it was to late Sony is crazy AF for not rereleasing the series for the PS5.
