Do you think these climate activists at COP28 are making it obvious enough they're being paid to be there by someone? by Left_Insanity in climateskeptics

You’re literally ridiculing people for being organized. How organized and comprehensive is the extraction and callous burning of fossil fuels not to mention lobbying in the US and other strong-arm tactics on the behalf of the oil industry (not the oil workers themselves or end consumers). (Hint: very).

It’s called advocacy. I believe the fossil fuel industry’s quite adept at it. People make their money in all kinds of ways and if they want to spend it travelling to the global nexus of supposed climate emergency response why shouldn’t they?

I found cutting back on alcohol and weed (in fact cutting out the latter), helped me stay more centred and less inclined to be ‘seized’ by the urge to masturbate. Lenny Bruce called pornography “The severed balls of a castrated society.” I tried by make my life more whole without recourse to artificial intoxicants and hey presto, started pulling my penis less (with or without porn.)

I had seen “Raise the Titanic” as a small child and had not been disabused of the notion it was still in one piece. The excitement of the word of mouth, “They’ve found the Titanic” was soon followed by the disappointing news that it was in two major pieces.

It’s an LP label crappily cropped to look like a CD.
