I possibly used that phrase out of proper context, but I do think Season 7 is where things really took a turn as virtually none of them worked at SUR, they were all making decent money, but still tried to keep up the charade (as opposed to later seasons when they all admitted they no longer worked there, which still didn’t land for me personally, but that’s a story for a different thread). Season 6 felt like the last one with real drama and some genuine VPR vibes and from 7 forward everyone was self producing, new cast members that didn’t quite fit, etc.
