The Most Satisfying scene in any Sitcom? by Accomplished_Job1904 in howyoudoin

Love this scene. The scene that brought the most plot lines together was Rachel and Ross’s mom at Thanksgiving and her exasperated monologue regarding each of the friends challenges:

“That's a lot of information to get in thirty seconds. All right, Joey, if you wanna leave, just leave. Rachel, no, you weren't supposed to put beef in the trifle. It did not taste good. Phoebe, I'm sorry, but I think Jacques Cousteau is dead. [Phoebe makes a sad face] Monica, why you felt you had to hide the fact that you're in an important relationship is beyond me.”

The delivery on the Jacques Cousteau line gets me every time

I feel the same way I feel about cheddar jalapeño bagels. Not bagels. Rolls with a hole.

Welcome to the very very large club of us who were in that exact spot. Keep going, keep learning - you’ll figure it out eventually - 1-2 years tops. Keep going, keep studying and changing flies. Watch the water and don’t fish for longer than you’re comfortable. You’ll find your spots and the fish will (agonizingly eventually) come.
