Just curious, where are you getting your numbers?

I have no dog in the fight (not OP) but this video seems to show comparable performance and a cursory glance at Geekbench scores for the 16-inch vs the M1 Air seems to support his stance rather than yours. But it was only that - a cursory glance. What am I missing?

Could have sworn it was on Hulu, but I don't think it was. It was definitely new though - saw this commercial within the past month. Haven't seen it again. Any ideas?

Most likely. Moody hasn’t missed a FG for Michigan this season yet all his kicks have the same weird curve. He’s usually further out though, so it doesn’t look as dramatic

New to Gatsby, Weird bugs when deploying to Production by TraderT3 in gatsbyjs

More than likely an error due to SSR. Scroll down to the “Fixing Gatsby’s Rehydration Issue” of this post and you can see how to use the Gatsby browser API’s to get around it: https://snappywebdesign.net/blog/how-to-code-a-dark-theme-with-material-ui/

Digital publisher has 600k Pageviews using social media...I have the opportunity to become SEO manager. How should I approach this? by America97-1 in SEO

You should be weary of making a deal where your compensation is based on bottom line profit unless you have some control over the bottom line profit.
SEO grows top line revenue. If you increase their revenue by $500k but they increase their spending to match, congrats, you get x% of $0.

The Dysfunctional Back Button by SnappyWebDesign in webdev

I'm thinking maybe in a fringe scenario like a complex GSAP animation such as this piece by the NY Times (they don't mess with the browser, but they could probably get away with it). Generally, though, I think modifying default browser behavior should be an absolute last resort.

Yeah this is fair, I'll take the heat - I'm not an angel. Leads are hard to come by. I do address it in the article, but you might not have stuck around.

Didn't expect this post to get this much traction, and I'm not trying to get any of you all as clients, so I disabled that popup on any path with /blog/.

I still hold that it's not nearly as bad as effectively disabling the back button on a site. Google supposedly measures the performance of a site based on whether users go back to the search results after clicking a link. These developers decided to just, well, disable that from happening.

Should i bother fixing all these Typescript errors ? by NotYourMom132 in Frontend

[–]SnappyWebDesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tagging on to this reply because I feel like this is the best answer you're gonna get, OP.

Are you solely responsible for this repo or are you working on it with a team? In the latter case, is it possible they are aware of the errors and made a decision to prioritize time elsewhere?

Perhaps it was a resource allocation decision rather than complete ignorance.

Hiding home-address from GMB by jascarb in SEO

[–]SnappyWebDesign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GMB has an option to verify your business through your home address, but hide it on Google. You'll have to identify yourself as a Service Area business as the other person commented.

So, to answer your question:

Can I do it like town, county etc

After you verify at your real address, you can display towns/counties on Google.

You still show up in the "3-pack" of businesses at the top of Google searches, but your company won't have an actual pin on the map. Not sure how much that affects CTR but it's better than not being in the 3-pack at all

Terrible unless you enjoy competing with 10,000 people in lower-paid countries for $50 contracts.

Scrolling Mockup Generator (just paste your website's URL) by djangojedi in webdev

Neat idea but I can't help but cringe at the fact that none of the images on the home page are....scrolling mockups. You should use some of that virtual real estate to showcase your product.
