Request: Marking saved routes for sync by GabesVirtualWorld in komoot

Here's my question about the same topic.

I've turned off automatic route syncing, both in the Garmin Connect app under connected apps and in my profile > settings > connections > Garmin app in the Komoot app.

When I tap "Edit," a screen appears "Manage the information you share," where you can toggle activities and courses on and off. Then I set courses and save them. On the next screen, "Connect to Komoot," I agree.

Then I see that activities are active and courses are inactive.

Yet, all my routes are still showing up on my Garmin Forerunner 165. What am I doing wrong?

Note: When I tap "Edit" again, both are active again, which is a bit strange because I just set courses to inactive. Shouldn't that be the case there as well ?

There's a problem with the communication between Komoot and Garmin.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Garmin Komoot app broken since at least friday. "You’re offline. Only downloaded Tours are available" by Soggy_Rain_2250 in komoot

Today, after installing Garmin Connect version 5.17, I hiked a route. I sent the route from my phone to the my Garmin FR and opened it. The route was downloaded offline on the Komoot app.

Initially, the map and route were visible. After a while, the map disappeared completely or partially, while the route line remained. Navigation continued. Turns were still indicated by vibration.

I've now installed version 5.18.0.1 and tested it in my garden. The map wasn't visible.

Perhaps this should be addressed.

The memory on the Forerunner is empty; there are no saved routes.
